"The hotel is located at a 3min walk from Playa Hermosa. The property is really well maintained and has all amenities. We booked the Jr. suite which was clean and kitchen fully stocked with appliances like a full size fridge, toaster, microwave, induction and a coffee maker. They also had cutlery stocked up in the cabinets which made it easier to use. The only hiccup we faced was the WiFi that didn't seem to work when we arrived in our first room but the staff was helpful and changed our room on request. The breakfast was filling and really tasty, as well as the service was really attentive. Thank you for a great stay experience. If you're planning to stay in Costa Rica for a long time, choose this hotel as it'll be easier for you to navigate. Thank you for the staff the check-in and check-out went smoothly."
"In need of people to keep the parking lot clean.
In need of a good sign, otherwise you will ended up in the mountains if you follow Google maps.
Be aware of the 200 dls deposit requested it by hotel staff, they deducted from the account and they don't returned right away, I have 3 days fighting back forth with the bank to get the money back into my account."
"We were met at the desk with a friendly staff person who let us know of local tours, the adjacent convenience store, and walked us to our room. The room was wonderful with a balcony. We enjoyed the breakfast, dinner, the pool and the game room with 2 pool tables. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We participated in the trivia night and listened to the Jimmy Buffet tribute band from the pool area. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk to the beach. A great place to stay!"
"We had a great time at El Mangrove. Amazing staff who were all very friendly, helpful and respectfully attentive without being intrusive.
We stayed at the end of August, start of September which is supposed to be rainy season so the resort was very very quiet. Lucky for us. Room was a king deluxe with balcony and forest view. The resort itself had multiple pools, as is beach front although we didn’t move far from the main one. Almost none of the rooms have ocean view but we spent most our time at the pool area. Lunch menu from the bar / pool menu was more basic and we found was better prepared by that kitchen. The more elaborate menu from the main evening restaurant was a little hit and miss on quality of execution of the dishes. We found much of the seafood to be over cooked for our liking. By the time we had been there a week we were mostly ordering off the more basic menu. Breakfasts were great with fresh fruit etc. We took a jet ski tour with and an ATV tour. Jet skis were fun but would probably give the ATV a miss if we were to return. Can’t say enough good things about the staff! 10/10"
