Clean and comfortable hotel for a one night's stay. It's a very small hotel without reception past 9pm. Everything was great with the room and I really appreciated the water and snacks available without charge. The only thing I found strange was that they were reluctant to let me in at any point before 3pm, I was waiting in the lobby at 230 and it seemed that only once the clock struck 3 would I be allowed in. I had an activity that afternoon and wasn't able to get in for the first time till 8. If they had better communicated why it was unavailable I would have understood but it seemed to me that they were on a power trip.

Regarding the early check-in, we do have a very tight schedule for the cleaning indeed. We take our customer's comfort a priority, and we never start cleaning before 12:00. That is why we inform every customer, on the web pages, on agencies, that check-in is from 15:00. Thank you for your understanding and we really hope you come back again.

A hidden gem
To anyone that is looking for a place to stay in Santander then this is the place for you. From start to finish this hotel offered everything we could need to make it a perfect stay. From entering the hotel and the checking in process, to the recommendations on what to do, where to go and what to eat, to checking out everything was faultless and we feel very looked after during our whole stay. The rooms have everything that you may need to make a very comfortable stay. The rooms have a fridge to store food and drink, a coffee machine with pods provided daily. Complimentary fruit and pastries after each room clean and every small detail looked after. Words can't give the hotel enough credit for the service they provide and how they made us feel during our holiday and made everything so faultless. A huge credit needs to go to all the staff, the front of house staff for making you feel welcome and looked after all the way through, the cleaning staff for doing an amazing job at cleaning the rooms. This is one trip we will be making again and this hotel will be the first one we look at booking. Thank you again for an amazing stay!

Staff were very helpful in telling us about the area or booking a table or telling the (pre-arranged) taxi driver where to find us! Walkable from many good eating places - we liked Sukura and the Pizza place just down the street. Very quiet and nice rooms.

Loved our stay …
We loved both Santander and El Balcón-our room was excellent, clean and very comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the city and the bay. George (Jorge?) was brilliant, a warm welcome and loads of information about the local area, where to go and what places to eat in. Our favourite was Casa Lita the tapas bar on the front that we visited twice on our short trip. The hotel is expanding into the next building and so we hope to return next year and stay again in the new expanded El Balcón de la Bahía Suites! Thank you again George, and all staff, for your friendly and professional help and we hope to see you again next year.

Propiedad nueva y con buena ubicación. Disponen de parking pero nosotros conseguimos aparcar en la calle. Respecto a las camas, son pequeñas, pero pasamos una noche con lo cual no fue un mal mayor. El desayuno, tuvimos las mala suerte de que falló el proveedor de pan con lo que el desayuno se quedó corto, al menos para nosotros que desayunamos salado.

Personal amabilísimo, te reciben con una copita de 🍾. La habitación limpia y muy conforme. Tienen el detalle de dejarte en la habitación un desayuno de cortesía. El hotel en una calle tranquila pero muy bien comunicado y céntrico. una latita de anchoas de regalito de despedida. Sin duda repetiré cuando vuelva a Santander.

No cumple las expectativas
La experiencia ha sido bastante desagradable. La habitación no cumple las expectativas, tiene un tamaño de juguete para dos personas. La cama es de miniatura y resulta complicado o darte con alguna de las lámparas que tienes justo encima de la cabeza. Además, la habitación que nos dieron daba directamente al hall de entrada, no teniendo absolutamente nada de intimidad. La ducha del baño al no tener desniveles ni sumideros suficientes hacía que el baño estuviera mojado todo él en cada ducha.

Me he hospedado aquí con una amiga, para unas vacaciones de desconexión en Santander, y no hemos podido escoger mejor lugar! El desayuno excelente, el servicio siempre atento y el lugar perfecto, el vecindario esta perfecto y tranquilo, walking distance al centro, con todos los servicios accesibles.
