"A quiet hideaway among the bustle of Santa Monica. Located right off a main road, quick and easy access to anything you want to do. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom layout was a little smaller than average but manageable. Parking was steps outside of front door. We were lucky, there were only about 7 spaces, one handicapped, and we managed to get a space both times we needed one. Street parking was available. Quiet neighborhood, didn't seem to notice street noise inside room. Check in is a little impersonal, no lobby, ring a bell to summon someone from adjoining office. Transaction done through slot in plexiglass window, much the same as being at a bank, then clerk unlocks door and escorts you to your room. Not unfriendly, just more of a business transaction than a warm welcome. I'm sure there's a safety issue for the staff, but makes you wonder about your own. However, never felt uneasy, grounds were well maintained, we were very comfortable, never disturbed by other guests. Would not hesitate at all to recommend or stay here again."

"A heritage building full of character with a SUPER convenient location! While you definitely visually see its age in the hallways and rooms, all is maintained well and clean. ALL of the hotel staff (front desk, manager, valets, maintenance, housekeeping) that I met during my stay, from mid-day to late evening (I’m not a morning person) were SUPER helpful, kind and empathetic. I cannot thank them enough for their assistance during my stay (April 23-29/26, Room 430). It truly felt like a home away from home with the staff the community. My stay was unusual (cleared out a local locker, locker contents was delivered to my room) and they were all accommodating with this challenge of mine. A couple of minor issues: TV needed maintenance to fix it twice, coffee maker was defective, housekeeping switched it out, hotel cards were very sensitive to credit cards/cellphone, so I needed replacements several times I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Santa Monica. It will be my only choice when I come back. Thanks again to Elina, Diana, Francisco, Roderick (?) and all the staff! I wish I remembered everyone’s names."

"We had a very nice stay at The Pierside Santa Monica. The location is excellent—just steps from the beach and very convenient for walking around the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was fresh and very tasty. The only downside was the parking. The valet service is quite expensive, which was surprising since the parking appears to be in the same building as the hotel. Overall, a great stay thanks to the location and service, but the parking cost is something to be aware of."

"They had the most loveliest and helpful staff ever! Amazing selection of restaurants and they had a good and clean room. I just feel weird about their being resort fees they charged per day bur it wasn’t a resort and had one pool only. "

"This hotel is everything you need for a corporate visit to Santa Monica. The rooms are large with a desk inside that is helpful. The hotel itself is a bit outdated in a few areas and while we there the restaurant was closed. The staff were all sweet and super helpful when needed. A great bonus is the location - far enough from the crowds of tourists, but close enough if you want that experience....and there are 3 fantastic places to eats just blocks away!"
