"Amazing breakfast buffet for a great price, also opens at 7:00AM (In Korea is not that easy to get food early). The laundry room is pretty good, two machines for washing and two for drying, easy to use. The gym is very basic and not meant for a lot of users at once, but gets the job done. I came in late April so it was still too cold for the pool to be opened, so I can't say much about that. The location is hard to beat, right in front of the ocean, Tapdong park, Black Pork Alley, Shopping center and a few blocks to Dongmun Market. Room was spacious and kept clean. Reception personnl were all great and spoke pretty good English. I stayed at a nearby hotel prior, but likely will repeat the Whistle Lark. A tip: The hotel is called `histle` by the locals so try that pronounciation if your cab driver gets confused with Whistle Lark :)"

"The property was close to the market and buses, and the staff were always friendly. No complaints—it was exactly as advertised. Worth noting that it’s not close to many of the nature-related sites (~45 mins to an hour to most), but that’s obvious if you look at the map when booking. "

"The only staff we met supposedly the owner. Not seen most of them time. When in need of help, need to call a number at the front desk but never pick up. Room is big but old. Almost got locked in toilet. There was a underwear left by the previous guest. There is simple breakfast though."

"This hotel does not have a ramp at the entrance, so you will have to carry all your baggage up the tall stairs. Check in is at 1400. If you want to leave your luggage at the hotel until check in, your luggage will be out in the open in a designated area and not behind a counter. The room has thick steps separating the bedroom and bathroom. I tripped on these steps a few times. There is no conditioner in the bathroom, just bath soap and hand soap. I also sat on the carpeted floor a few times, and in the morning, I woke up with 3 bites, one on the back of my neck, and 2 on my midback. The staff was very polite and smiled at me and greeted me every time. The cleaning lady knocks on my door and asks if I would like a room cleaning. When I declined, she provided towels and water bottles. The smell of old cigarette smoke lingers in the carpet though. The hotel does seem a bit dated but maintained in good condition."

"The property is conveniently located and the room itself is spacious, which makes it a comfortable base for exploring Jeju City. However, do note that there’s a short flight of stairs before reaching the elevator; something to keep in mind if you’re travelling with large or heavy luggage. Service is very minimal; you’ll hardly see anyone on duty. Communication could also be improved. I didn’t receive check-in details beforehand despite a message being sent, and my follow-up went unanswered until much later, after I had already checked out. There’s no air-conditioning during the cooler season, so the room can get stuffy. You can open the window for ventilation, though it can get quite noisy from the street outside. Additionally, luggage storage is chargeable, which wasn’t communicated in advance. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you’re independent and prefer a self-service style accommodation, but best not to expect much assistance or comfort amenities on-site."
