Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Munising
10/10 Excellent
"It was a great place to stay. However we were all over 65 and had rooms on 2nd floor. No elevator. Hard for us to drag our heavy suitcases up and down the stairs. Other than that very nice motel. Would stay again except would request rooms on 1st floor. "
"My husband and I spent two nights in the one bedroom suite, which we loved. We arrived early and they were very accommodating and got our room cleaned as soon as they could. We used the laundry facilities which we desperately needed. Everything was in working order and clean. The included breakfast was ok. "
"First I’d like to say it’s a lovely location and a great idea. The little studio had all you need for a weekend getaway. However, we arrived at 11pm on a Friday, thus it was dark. The address/coordinates on VRBO take you to the woods on the opposite side of town by a holiday inn. There is no desk so when you call there is no one to answer/help. So I check vrbo, then the email the property sent. I’m exhausted at this point and I’m reading instructions and comparing it to my maps to to navigate and search in the dark, finally found it. Email noted you will see flags, NO flags. They have a sign BUT no light eliminating the road sign. Beds on the firm side, just informational. They attempted a coffee table with countertop used from kitchen and bathroom but the legs can’t support it and it wobbles badly. That top is very heavy and I kept my bags under it afraid it would fall and hurt my dog. Good idea poor execution.Standing by the bed I glanced in the bathroom and could see the speckles of feces all along the rim of the toilet. It looked like the toilet had not been cleaned in weeks. So of course my thought is, what else did they miss/choose not to do. The compound was such a good idea. Some things hit the mark like quality construction, trails/falls on site (super steep and no mileage listed), location, privacy, effectiveness of AC.However, I would not stay again due to cleanliness, poor directions/lack of attention to being findable. Overpriced for what you get."
