Wonderful stay. Our room was clean, comfortable and close to city sites at an affordable price. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a great coffee and chocolate machine that serves really delicious drinks.

The location was very convenient and quiet, just a short walk to Old Town. We really enjoyed our stay here - the complimentary coffee and muffins were a plus, and the beds were super comfortable. We had the most restful sleep at this hotel during our entire trip! Highly recommend a stay here!

La atención muy buena, el hotel está muy bien ubicado. Instalaciones en buen estado, sábanas limpias, toallas limpias, muebles prácticamente nuevos. Lo único la limpieza en el piso de la habitación, había polvo y manchas sin limpiar. el único pero. Gracias por toda la atención y colaboración. recomendable

The apartments are in an ideal location, close to the Gros area to have some pintxos and drinks. Our room was very small, but enough to just sleep and shower. The hotel has an agreement with the Kurxaal parking so that the daily rate is 20€ instead of 25€, ask in reception and they will explain everything. Overall good.

The staff at welcome gros has always welcome me with a big smile, the place is very well situated, there are lots of good restaurants all around, close to the beach and the price is undefeatable.

Location, location, location.
Donostia it's a wonderful charming city with lots of places to go, to see, to feel, to eat and to drink. Having said that, we spent most of our time outside and only got the hotel to rest and freshen up. For us the most important thing while choosing a hotel for this stay was location and convenience. Welcome Gros is exceptionally located, just a 5 minute walk to either the heart of San Sebastian or the heart of the Gros neighborhood. Also very close to the bus and train station. The room itself was Ok, nothing great but no complaints. Now...lobby it's not open 24hrs so I guess we auto checked out; there's nowhere to have breakfast in grounds (not really a problem, since there are excellent places to grab a bite nearby) and the hotel feels a little impersonal but for us none of those were a deal breaker. In conclusion it's a very good option for what you pay.

Conveniently located within walking distance from the shopping district, dining area (old town), and the beach. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of amenities but I wasn't looking for a full-service hotel. The staff is VERY helpful and made check-in so easy. Parking is about a 10 minute walk (at the waterfront). I would stay here again.

This property was very close to the metro and easy to find. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed for your stay including a safe and fridge. A short 10-15 minute walk and you were in the old town and beach. Unfortunately, when I had arrived at my next destination I noticed that I had left my wallet behind at Welcome Gros which was very stressful. After speaking to Beatriz, who was extremely helpful and remained in constant contact, she organised the money to be returned to my bank account and held onto my wallet until my friend was able to collect it a month later. It is nice to think there are still honest and caring people out there going above and beyond even after leaving the hotel.

What a lovely and comfortable room. Nice coffee machine in the lobby. I had a difficult time finding parking and arrived for check-in at 9:15 PM. Alas, the front door was already locked. Fortunately there was a contact number that I could call and they gave me clear instructions for all the needed access codes. There are at least three public parking areas within walking distance, but all the one-way streets made finding them a bit of a challenge. Also, expect to pay about 26 euros per day for parking All in all a great place to stay in this beautiful city

Very basic hotel, with nice staff willing to guide you in the city. Close to all the main points of interests in Donostia. Nice neighborhood where you can Self-service laundry place, great bakeries

It was a good stay and very quiet place an apartment hotel as it’s located on a side street. There’s a courtyard with plants and every morning you can wake up to birds chirping. Though no breakfast provided, but there’s a coffee making machine throughout the day use and some biscuits for breakfast. It’s very convenient and within minutes walking distance from train station and the tourist spots like Beach of La Concha, Old Town where a wide spread of tapas and restaurants and pubs, church and scenic places.

Modern, clean, comfortable, and easy renfe acess
Very comfortable stay. Make sure you check hours when the front desk is open. Otherwise you will have a hard time if you arrived late. Easy walk from the train or bus station, 3 blocks. Hotel was across the river and a short walk to the old part of the city. We always felt safe walking at night. We had breakfast at Tomas Gros for 7 euros. Sunday morning everything closed except a bakery on the next block. We took bus E21 to San Sebastian airpory for 2.70 euros. The stop is close to the renfe/bus station. Less than 40 mjnute ride. I would stay here if I return to San Sebastian which we loved. We were here during the beggining of summer and the city had music everwhere. We took a day trip to Bilbao for 14 euros. We bought the round trip bus tickets the night before. Easy anf worthehile day trip l.

Great hotel for a weekend in San Sebastian
Welcome Gros hotel was perfect for a weekend stay in San Sebastian. The hotel reception staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions about the area. Discount parking available close by arranged by the hotel. Lovely free coffee and cakes in the morning. The room was very large with great storage and a fridge. Very clean and a comfy bed. I have no idea why this hotel is a 1 star. It's perfect and great value

Great deal, five minute walk from surfing beach
A great deal for accommodation just a five minute walk from a beach. Although across the river from the old city, there are many good stores, bars, restaurants etc within a five minute walk. Also very close to the train station, but nevertheless the room was very quiet, as it faced into a courtyard. Breakfast was very good, and convenient and safe storage for a bicycle was provided.

The hotel itself was clean, rooms were small but well equipped and the staff excellent, but there was a very strong smell of air freshener or something in the hallways and the rooms that gave me an enormous headache.
