"The shower head didn't dispense any water. I contacted the front desk about it, the man there said the shower head needed to be adjusted! There is not maintenance in this hotel, the room fee is extremely expensive for such a flaw in a hotel."

"The pools were surprisingly cold and not very well kept. Not much within walking distance. The interiors were in good shape, but the exterior of the building is dated and worn out."

"This hotel has always been WONDERFUL. Sadly, I was taken sick at the last moment and could not travel to Costa Rica on the dates I planned. As a result, I was too ill to check my email and cancel this reservation. Therefore I forfeited the entire amount of my reservation. I understand that these are the terms of the contract I agreed to when I made my reservation. Therefore, I hold no ill will to Holiday Inn or Hotels.com. Hopefully, the next time I need to travel to Costa Rica to assist my sister I will stay healthy and accomplish my mission including a stay at the Holiday Inn in Alajuela."

"Staff were excellent, unfortunately except for the coffee shop, we found the restaurant food very mundane and overpriced. Steak House and sushi restaurant offerings require some TLC"
