There were 6 adults on trip. The house was very comfortable and accommodating. It had everything we needed. Checking in and out was a breeze. We will stay here again.
This property has everything you need for a comfortable family stay at Lake San Marcos. Plenty of room and well-stocked. The home is delightfully decorated and everything looks/feels new. Lake San Marcos is an easy walk from doorstep to lakeside. We loved Amalfi restaurant for dinner and Brunch Point for Breakfast.
First time Vrbo rental for me. Went great. The property was a great fit for us and had all we needed and in good shape. Tory, our host, our was easy to work with and very helpful.
We stayed here because we needed close proximity to CSU San Marcos. We loved the neighborhood which was nice for walks . We were just a quick 10 -15 minutes from the beach. Grocery and dining options just minutes away. The house was clean, spacious, and well equipped. We would only recommend dark out shades for the bedrooms. Everything else was perfect! We would definitely stay here again.
My goal was to find a quiet place in San Marcos to recover from elective surgery....and that is exactly what I found! A well-appointed home with a newly renovated kitchen. The rooms were comfortable, and when it was warm enough, the back patio offered a private little oasis. We loved how close it was to a local grocery store, a variety of different restaurants, and we discovered a really interesting historic park a few miles away. If you are a super lite sleeper, I'd suggest using a white noise app because the heater is a bit loud when it comes on.
We loved staying at this house. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and very well appointed, with new high quality appliances, and everything you need to prepare large meals.
There are too many nice touches to list them all - from the comfortable furniture, tasteful decorations and abundant supplies. We loved the layout, including the very clean back patio, which felt like an extension of the living area.
While we didn’t use them, there is a nice gas grill and wood fire pit area in the beautiful backyard. The owner even provided some firewood.
The beds were all very comfortable, and the large primary bedroom suite was wonderful.
The owner was also extremely responsive and accommodating.
We would absolutely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at this home for 2 1/2 months this past summer. The home was very comfortable and inviting, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. The home was recently remodeled and is tastefully done. The beds are comfortable and the soft sheets and duvets are a plus. The living room overlooks a lovely private backyard and you can see some of the San Marcos hills from there too. We especially enjoyed our daily walks around the neighborhood with access to San Marcos Lake or The Grill at Lakehouse for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The home is conveniently located with easy access to the 78 and all points south to the beaches. It was a 15 minute drive to our favorite golf course or the beaches, and many restaurants and stores are a short drive away. There is even an Albertson’s right around the corner from the property. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in San Marcos, and plan on returning next summer.
This property was just perfect for our stay in North County San Diego. Besides being convenient to everything we needed, its interior was nicely remodeled, had a great backyard for pets, and it was in a pretty lakeside area. I would definitely stay here again.
Our family enjoyed staying here for Easter vacation. The house has been kept up well and clean. It’s in a great location for grocery shopping, the lake and access to the freeway for other locations. Tory was great in communicating with us and check in/out was simple. We would love to stay here again!

My wife and I needed a home for our two year old and us for a few days to visit some friends in North County! The location of this home was perfect. From check I. To check out it felt like home away from home. Our host was amazing, and went out of her way to send my sons teddy bear that was left behind to us!

Great neighborhood! Perfect location! Close to almost everything! Quiet! We enjoyed the fire pit and we utilized the kitchen for most meals. Could use a little more bowls for a big salad. We did wish it had a Bar BQ Grill! We loved the home and would most definitely stay here again. Thank you for opening your home to us!
The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was very nice with new appliances. The beds were very comfortable with new linens. The backyard was great. The fire pit was perfect and we were able to have a few fires with S'mores in between rain storms. During the rain storms the covered back patio was a lifesaver. We were able to tay dry and watch the rains come in.
The owner communicated very well and check in was very easy.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again if we are back in San Diego again.
Owner had great communication! Immaculate and clean inside and out. Decor and comfort made the residence feel like home. Pet door and enclosed safety fencing helped house our dog during our stay. Kitchen is well appointed. Location is central to 5, 78 and 15 freeways. Nearby vacation attractions and Carlsbad beaches. A gem!
