"Our stay at mountain top park was absolutely wonderful. It really is at the top of the mountain (The drive from the front entrance to the hotel is steep and windy, in a fun way). On our first morning after checking in, we saw some squirrel monkeys climbing through the trees from our balcony, and when we had breakfast we saw a few toucans in the trees right outside the hotel, along with a great view of the ocean. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the breakfast is wonderful (the hot food is served by staff, but is otherwise self-serve). A stay at this hotel includes free access to the grounds on site which have a wide range of wildlife and a few suspension bridges, and even includes a free morning tour if you sign up one day in advance. The overall feeling we got while staying here is that the staff really cares about making your experience a fun one, and I would definitely stay again if we were to come back to the area!"

"La Mariposa was a highlight of our trip. The property is beautiful, and the view is absolutely incredible. Waking up to floor to ceiling windows and an ocean and national park view never got old. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the infinity pool overlooking the ocean was a favorite spot. We even saw monkeys on the property. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, and the staff were so lovely and accommodating throughout our stay. The property’s location is ideal, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The beach is about a 25 minute downhill walk and there’s also a property shuttle to the beach if you don’t feel like walking. We are absolute looking forward to staying here again. "
