Toppenläge men inte ett B&B

Superfint läge, mitt på ett av San Gimignanos två torg. Däremot var rummet väldigt smutsigt, golven var inte rengjorda på länge utan var extremt dammiga. Frukosten var under all kritik. Den stod framme när vi kom i vårt rum i väntan på nästa dag... En kapselmaskin för kaffe fanns förvisso men o övrigt fanns endast koncentrerad juice på flaska, två inplastade brödbitar, honung och marmelad. Det var det. Vi rörde inte ens frukosten utan satte oss på ett café nere på torget - kan varmt rekommenderas. Detta är en ok övernattning förutsatt att man inte går barfota eller råkar tappa några kläder på golvet samt att man inte förväntar sig någon frukost. Läget är som sagt toppen.

VERY disappointed family of 5!

The best part of this B&B was its location right in the center of the main square in this charming Tuscan medieval village. That is where the positive review ends. Firstly, there is no air conditioning so be forewarned. If booking in summer, don’t do it!! There IS an AC unit in the apartment, it just does not work. When my husband asked about it, we were told that the last person who stayed there took the remote. There was some mention of buying a universal remote. In the meantime, we were asked if fans would suffice. We agreed. Two hours later, a lady shows up with two oscillating fans in boxes that we had to put together. We are a fam of 5 so 1 room did not get a fan. The next evening when we inquired about the remote, we were told that the AC did not work and that the description did not say it had one. The person who we were texting (different from the two ladies who met us and the lady who dropped off the fan and toilet paper...only 1/2 a roll for 5 people when we arrived) indicated that there had been a “communication problem.” Hard to misinterpret what we were told! To make matters worse, if you left the windows open at night, you were awakened at 0600 with delivery trucks to restaurants in the main square. Also, the chatter of people down below made sleeping impossible until well after midnight. Add broken bed and broken washer to the list and we couldn’t wait to leave. Also only 1 room has the view in the description. No others have that view!

a bit disappointing

The flat wasn't cleaned properly, there was no toilette paper, very poor bedding and furnishing, not attractive at all. Wifi is not working. The view from the terrace is nice.

Even though free wi fi was advertised that was entirely false there is no free wi fi in this apt. If you want wi fi you have to go to the bar next store. They never would respond to my text messages.

Recomendo, mas com algumas decepções

O atendimento foi bom e a localização é excelente. Se você está querendo se hospedar ao estilo italiano antigo essa hospedagem é excelente, porém contratamos pela propaganda da vista para a paisagem toscana e essa vista simplesmente não existia, nem a sacada, apenas o quarto e sala com a janela para a praça principal, a cozinha da acomodação também não estava ativa e o café da manhã é sem muita regalia. Recomendo, mas nos decepcionamos tendo em vista o valor e a propaganda no site.

Highlight of our trip

Lovely old quaint building, hosts were very nice, lovely breakfast at nearby cafe. Beautiful place to visit highlight of a 19 day trip. No Wi-Fi signal but no real problem could get connection in Bar across the square.

The stay was beautiful As it is direct at the main piazza. We booked the room with the nice view but unfortunately they mixed up the rooms so that this one was already booked. Such a pity! Nevertheless it's directly in the city centre!
