Fantastic stay! Property was lovely and well kept. There was a delicious homemade meal as well as snacks and refreshments for us when we arrived, great after a long trip on the road. Gonul was quick to respond to any questions we had prior to check in and although we arrived late, was so welcoming to us arriving after hours. Redwood City is so inviting and we were lucky to enjoy local bites at La Quinta Pizza nearby, great after a fun day exploring SF. We didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor kitchen, but the hosts clearly take a lot of pride in this space as it is clean, well furnished and inviting, especially after sunset. Loved the stay, can’t say enough great things- truly hope to stay here again on our next trip, hopefully soon!
Loved the kitchen and access to backyard outdoor patio with sink & grill and two seating areas, including eating table and couches & comfortable chairs. Good internet. Nice safe neighborhood for walking.
I stayed here with my wife and 2 friends. We found the property to be clean and welcoming! The amenities in the house were great and the property owner was very helpful.
We loved staying at this house. The owners left fresh flowers in the house and music on for us when we arrived. They even left out books for my children to enjoy. Very close to downtown Redwood City as well.
The property is in a safe, clean location. The house was clean and fully equiped. It was perfect location for us to attend commencement at Menlo College while still being able to visit SF & Half Moon Bay. Outdoor bbq & seating area was an added bonus.
The home was so beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. The property managers went above and beyond with the amenities. Home is in a quiet neighborhood with a wonderful outdoor space. Best VRBO I’ve ever stayed in!!
We stayed for two weeks at this Eagle Hill Home. Its in a quite location but close to both 280 and 101. The house a lot of amenties (especially the kitchen). We liked the outdoor sitting area. The hills around the house makes it a good place for walks. The location looks safe.
We are so glad we picked this rental for a vacation in the San Francisco area to visit with our California family and friends! The location was ideal and we were impressed with how comfortable, clean and easy it was to stay at this house in Redwood City while enjoying hiking, trips to the beach and redwood forest and to the city. We have enjoyed VRBO rentals over the years and found that this one exceeded all of our expectations!
The house was clean spacious and comfortable located in a beautiful area.
The only issue we had that the guests/ residents in the second unit were very noisy during the night.
Excellent location for extended visit with family living in the area- easy walk in a very safe neighborhood. Also walking distance to park with tennis & pickleball courts and an excellent children's playground. The owner was very responsive when we had a question upon our arrival. The unit had a huge kitchen with all types of cooking pans and utensils. We sure appreciated the keurig coffees in the AM.
We had a nice stay in a good area. Some details to consider is that there is a tenant living below the property, so it did not feel as private and at times audibly obvious. The street parking wasn't too much of an issue. The host was very nice and responded quickly. The house has a nice feel too it, great outdoor cooking area and overall comfortable.
Our family loved our stay. The inside was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathroom seem to be redone fairly recently. Backyard space is amazing and we thought the whole place felt bigger than it looked in pictures. Sharing laundry with the downstairs renter was a little weird, but no complaints overall. Location is 5 minutes from delicious burritos and coffee and less than 10min from the highway or downtown Redwood City.
My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights. We loved the place!! The beds were super comfortable and everything was very high quality. The kitchen is a stunner!! The neighborhood is gorgeous also. There was an electrical issue with the bedroom lights that was fixed quickly. My only thought would be to provide some instructions on items like the TV, the bath/shower faucet (it's a little unique!), but these are very minor details!
Gonul and Mitch's house is charming inside and out. The living room is bright and inviting. The kitchen and the bathroom have all been renovated and upgraded. The property is clean and comfortable. Gonul and Mitch are amazingly warm hosts. During our short stay, we were gifted delicious Turkish dinner set for two made by Gonul. We have stayed at many homes over the years, and this was the first time that a host offered us an incredibly tasty homemade meal. We were so touched!
We enjoyed this property a lot and it was conveniently located for us. The house is completely updated with lovely furnishings, a well-outfitted kitchen and beautiful backyard grilling/lounging area. Unfortunately, the heat was not working in the house for the length of our stay, and it dipped into the 40's at night, which made it pretty chilly. I felt the owners could have communicated a bit better with us about this problem, but I also realize it was just a fluke that it happened during our stay. I would still recommend this property!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Listing accuracy
I needed a place somewhat close to Redwood Hospital for a full day procedure and all the better hotels were booked for K-POP BTS shows at Stanford.
Pros: The hostess was friendly and had everything there we needed. The 100-year-old home interior was remodeled nicely except for a couple of things - see below.
Cons: It was not clear to me in the advertisement that there was a (studio?) apartment downstairs that appeared to be a full time rental. There was little sound proofing and the downstairs tenants stayed up late constantly talking loud enough to not be able to get sleep until after midnight. Also, it was a warm couple of days and the home had no cooling other than a fan in the bedroom so it was hot inside until late evening and you could not open many of the (70+year old) windows as the noise would increase. Not sure what you would do on a cold day, there was no thermostat or directions in the binder and no heater in the bathroom.
This could be a real nice place commanding a better price if modern AC/Heat was added and there were no downstairs tenants.
Beautiful house in a quiet and picturesque place with convenient commute options both to SF and SJ. Gonul was also a wonderful host so we couldn't be more satisfied with our stay.
The only negative was the cleaning service did not show up prior to are arrival, and we had to make our own beds upon arrival after a day of travel.
The property was lovely and the back area was superb and in a nice neighborhood.
The house was comfortable, and we enjoyed spending time in the outdoor space, as well as walks in the beautiful neighborhood. Everything was clean, and it was really nice to be able to cook for ourselves. We would recommend this home, and would stay there again. This is a good location--can access both 280 and 101 quickly, and Whole Foods, Safeway, and Trader Joe's are close by. Downtown Redwood City has lots of good restaurant choices. Check out concerts in nearby parks and downtown in the summer.
Amazing house for adults! Almost too nice for kids…
Our three year old said “Dadda this house is nicer than our house!” And she was right! I strongly recommend staying here! But maybe not if you have kids under 5. Incredible rugs too!
Check in was easy. Kitchen welcoming, missing a couple essentials but an easy fix. Needs more spoons and dish cloths. Morning noise in neighborhood and landscapers. Like most neighborhoods! Nice seating outside for gatherings. Beautiful home and Gonul was kind and welcoming.
