About this property
San Diego Surf Shack #4 -1/2 Block to the Pacific!
About this space San Diego Surf Shack #4 (think small cottage with a beach vibe) just 100 ft from the Pacific and a 5 minute walk to the sand! It's a 200sq ft studio, very cozy. It features a luxurious bed, kitchen, HD TV, and blazing fast WiFi. The bathroom is airplane size, and includes a shower, but no tub. 100 steps to reach the top of the stairs that lead down to the beach!
1) No Extra Guests or Additional Guests beyond the number in the reservation. 2) No Pets 3) This isn't a party house. The space It's cute. It's quirky. It feels like a camp, but it's 100ft to the beach and in the middle of everything Ocean Beach and San Diego have to offer. Within 2 blocks of restaurants, bars, shops, yoga studios, fishing, and surfing. Take advantage of our kitchen for meals, or venture out and sample some awesome San Diego restaurants during your stay here! Start the morning off right with some coffee in the kitchen, or pick up coffee at one of the numerous neighborhood coffee stands and walk two blocks to the beach for a stroll as you watch the surf. We are blocks from some of San Diego's most iconic beach spots. Have a hamburger at Hodad's or get a scoop of ice cream between two flavored freshly made mini-waffles at Lighthouse. Also, eating at the quirky restaurant way out at the end of the Ocean Beach Pier is something that shouldn't be missed. Of course, there is a BBQ grill, and it's always a good time to cook out. After lunch, head back home and take a nap or relax on the deck. If you like shopping, you are virtually 10-20 minutes from any destination in the greater San Diego Metro area. I would suggest starting with the cool little shops a couple blocks away on Newport Ave for the original artwork. At night, you have a number of really incredible options. On one of the nights of your stay, you have to walk down the beach and have a bonfire in one of the beach fire pits. It's an absolute imperative... a must do beach experience. The smell and sound of the ocean, the feel of the sand, the smell of the fire, the taste of the s'mores...... We also have the restaurant Beau Bo just a couple blocks away for a romantic dinner. Try the lobster risotto. ...and there are so many other great restaurants within walking distance: Kaiserhoff, OB Noodle House, etc For Touristy stuff... well, the beach is two blocks away. Step out on the sidewalk and look to your left. It's that blue thing where the land ends. SeaWorld is a five minute drive. The World Famous San Diego Zoo is a ten minute drive away. Disneyland is a ninety minute drive. Guest access We only rent entire apartments. The apartment is all yours. Other things to note Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. If you need anything before, after or during your stay, we are just a text, call or email away. Our home has an electronic lock on the door. The codes needed to enter the property are available 48 hours prior to check-in. Registration number STR-00525L, 625224

Clean room it was super close to many restaurants and bars and the beach it was a lot of fun and the weather was amazing in August so it’s wasn’t so hot and the the people were really friendly and nice !!
The room was clean and suitable for two people. I should have spent a bit more time reading the check-in notes. The codes threw us a bit, but it was clearly explained in the notes: operator error! Loved the location, so close to good coffee, food, and of course the ocean. The neighborhood residents were all very considerate and chill.

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Property was accurately described in the listing, it is a small but has everything you need. Bathroom, kitchen with oven, fridge and tv.The place did a great job of staying comfortable at night and I didn't spend much time there during the day. While basic housing, it did the job for me and th host was excellent in communication and I felt like if I needed anything it would have been quickly addressed
Don’t rent unit 4. The description of this VRBO disaster is a challenge to English composition, but my sense of decency compels me to issue this review as a warning to my fellow citizens. The ad could not be more deceptive, offset photos were used & the contact person lied to us when we asked for an early check in. This property would not pass code or a prison cell standard. The bathroom will not accommodate a single adult size human and is a electrocution hazard when the 16” square shower is used. The commode sits “under” the sink and requires a gymnastic move to enter and exit. The entry door has a air gap at the threshold to the outside & there is no room air exchange, which leads to pungent smells and mold risk. The microwave and stove are unsuitable for cooking. The bedding is janky, ill fit and uncomfortable. There is no parking. It is suited for clients who pay by the hour, prisoners in jail or indigents. Overall, occupancy of this unit should be avoided, or done so at your own risk. If San Diego had a functioning building inspection department, it should be reported as derelict, and bull dozed. A 1.0 rating would be generous, but with a minus (-) sign, more accurate.
