About this property

Fox Canyon Hideaway-San Diego

  • Our home has been host to traveling nurses and doctors since we began this adventure several years ago. Now it's time to share our hidden hideaway with travelers. Come enjoy this quiet open space while visiting "America's Finest City." The distance from the freeway to our cul-de-sac is quirky, but we are off the beaten path, and a close skip to renowned breweries, missions, universities and several other points of interest.

Awesome property and great location

Genina was a great host! We even had access to some extra supplies for our beach day. The place was spotless, large, and had good amenities. It was close to every place we visited too.

Our son is stationed in California and we needed a place for all of us to stay during our visit. We are so thankful the Fox Canyon Hideway was available. The house is gorgeous and well thought out with amenities and feels like home away from home. The house was spotless and well supplied with everything we needed. The hosts are so nice and really care! We can't wait to come back here again on our next visit!

We came to San Diego for a multi-day wedding. The temps were high and the beach areas were crowed during this Labor Day weekend, so we truly enjoyed this quiet, spacious, air conditioned home. Also, there were many amenities including, games, ping pong, boogie boards, and more. Would love to stay again.

Hostess was very accommodating, house was very quiet and clean and in a great location. Only one suggestion would be to turn down the hot water a little . It was very, very hot and a little worried about having a kid in the bathtub.

Very inviting. I would recommend it again. My family and I had a wonderful time. We loved all the rooms. Your beds were super comfortable and you thought of basically everything. From the blankets to the games to all the utensils in the kitchen. Location was great. Close to downtown and to other amenities.Owners communicated well and quickly to any of or needs or concerns. We highly recommend it.

Family Friendly Retreat

A group of bridesmaids stayed here for the week of my sister’s wedding. We had the most wonderful time. Everything we needed down to shampoo, beach towels, and an iron was provided, and more! The beds were extremely comfortable and the whole house was cozy. We loved the vintage charm of the decor that met with the modern features. I would definitely recommend this stay for large groups!

Lovely home

Loved the home, I came with four friends to celebrate my birthday and there was more than enough room. We really enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage. Nothing in the city is more than 15 minutes away, so the location was also a plus. Owners were super easy to communicate with and gave us a great restaurant recommendation to celebrate my birthday.
