Cottage is Literally ON the Beach! Private Garage Parking & Private Side Yard

Quaint cottage, literally ON the beach. Open the front door and step into the sand of Ocean Beach. The beach is HUGE and open in front of you.

The cottage has been freshly painted and decorated. It's the perfect place for a great time away. A QUEEN size bed in the bedroom and a TWO fold down FULL size sofa beds in the living room provide sleeping for 4 adults comfortably if there is one adult per sofa bed. You might be able to sleep a couple kids on each sofa bed, increasing the capacity to 6 in theory. There is also a twin size air bed in the closet for your use.

There is a window mounted air conditioning unit in the bedroom and a portable space heater just in case our (rare) 50 degree nights are too chilly for you.

A full size fridge and gas range will come in handy for any cooking or cooling you want to do. The kitchen has a microwave & a coffee maker as well. Outside the kitchen door is a nice size side yard accessible only to your unit in which you can BBQ or just relax without being in the public mix out on the sand.

The private garage is for your use alone and is the primary entrance to the property. There is a key code on the door and simply walk through the garage and through the side yard to enter through the side kitchen door OR you can go through the sand along the front of the cottage to enter through the front door.

There is a washer & dryer in the garage for your use. In the garage you will also find beach chairs, a small cooler & a beach umbrella which you can use during your stay.

In addition to the full sized shower in the bathroom, there is an outdoor shower in the side yard in case you want to take a quick rinse off before you head back inside.

If you have time & don't mind doing so, please gather any used towels and start a load of laundry on HOT. Laundry soap is above the washing machine. Quick wash is fine unless heavily soiled/large load
Please close blinds, turn off A/C or heaters, lock the front & back door then hang up the keys where you found them upon arrival after locking the back door of the garage.
Please send a message or text letting me know that you've departed the property.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

Fire Pit can only be used in the SAND area of the side yard, and only in the side yard. Fires on the beach are only allowed in concrete fire pits.
Side yard gatherings end at 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends. Be respectful of the neighbors.
No weddings, wedding receptions, or other large gatherings at the cottage or in the side yard.

Cozy well appointed cottage on Ocean Beach. Everything you could possibly need and more was provided. Great location within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Wednesday farmer’s market was fun! Comfortable bed and easy sleeping listening to the ocean.The only drawback was the multiple volleyball games on the beach every day at 4:00 until after sunset which obstructed our view. The air traffic early morning and in the evening was a bit distracting also. These are only minor inconveniences due to location but the beach was spectacular!

Perfect location

We had a great stay at this perfectly located cottage. Very comfy, within walking distance of OB eateries and farmers market. The manager Abe had some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Had a great anniversary vacation.

Quaint Little Cottage

Great location! You are literally on the beach!! Great ocean views from bedroom and front room. Private backyard and plenty of amenities. Locals were friendly and neighborhood was safe. Street market on Wednesday’s is only 10 minutes walking and had great food and all kinds of items for sale. Also great entertainment!! Beaches are clean and well kept. Will definitely be back!!

Great Location and Fun Small Town Community

We had a fabulous time! The garage was perfect for our small suv and our bikes. Plenty of beach toys for our grand kids when they came to visit. Side yard with BBQ and outdoor seating was such a great bonus when we hosted our family for a picnic and day at the beach. We loved exploring Ocean Beach on our bikes and met so many wonderful people. Lots of great restaurants for happy hours and easy bike ride over to Mission Beach too. Would happily stay again!

Quaint Cottage in a Perfect Location!

The cottage is well-maintained and perfect for a family of 4. We stayed the week of the 4th of July and we had the best time. The cottage has garage parking, an outdoor shower, everything you would need for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, etc) and an amazing view. We're going to make it our annual place to stay.

Family favorite

We've stayed at this property twice now and cannot say enough about the amazing location. Having direct access to the beach is our favorite part. Ocean Beach is such a funky, unique community and although there are quite a few homeless people in the area, we do not feel unsafe bringing our family here.

Private and Peaceful

Having your own garage to park in which opens to your own private yard, porch and bungalow was perfect. The OB Surf Lodge right around the corner has fantastic food and drinks as well. We will definitely stay here again. Ocean Beach has so many great places to eat and shop within walking distance. Sitting on the porch enjoying the surfers and all of the beach action was just what we needed.

Fun weekend getaway

This property is in a great location right on the beach. The views are awesome and the location is great for exploring ocean beach. Communication with the property owners was great and they were accommodating to our early check in and even offered a later check out time. They also provided some great fruit and snacks for us. Definitely recommend this place for couples looking to stay on the beach in San Diego.

Great location. One step from the beach , right out the front door. Central location to all the hot spots of San Diego , 30 minutes away from everything.. even accounting for the rough traffic at times. Private , secure parking. Great vacation for us.

Beautiful Cottage

Upon our arrival we walked up to the cottage to witness a spectacular sunset. This really set the mood for a great stay! The host was extremely helpful with everything and kept in contact throughout our stay just to check in which was very thoughtful. Everything we needed for the beach was available. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics needed for cooking. Having a washer and dryer was an added bonus, I wasn't looking forward to bringing beach sand home with us. There's an outside shower off the garage that was perfect for rinsing off after beach time. There are great restaurants within walking distance. Cute little beach stores for shopping are just blocks away. I would definitely stay again!

Cute beach cottage!

We had a lovely few days at the cottage. Property manager (Abe) was great - lots of useful info for check-in, property logistics, things to do in the area, easily reachable. Space was nice for us as a couple - would be tight for a family, unless you're mainly using it as a jumping off point to other activities in San Diego. Expected wear and tear for a beach house/ocean front location. Dedicated parking/garage was a huge asset. Kitchen could use a bit of updating. Bed was comfortable, as were couches and cozy living area. Be mindful that this location is directly along the airport flight path, so there is quite a bit of noise, including overnight.

Cute Little beach Cottage

A cute little place literally on the beach. Enjoyed opening the door hearing the waves. Every extra thing available to enjoy some beach time, chairs, blankets, towels, umbrellas,, cooler, toys. Owner directed us to an amazing farmers market walking distance from cottage that was amazing. Wish we had more time.

On the Beach - LITTERALY

This property is amazing - if you are looking to be "on the beach" and have private parking, and have a patio, and have a huge picture window to look out in any weather, a volleyball tournament to watch almost nightly, and world class surfing within a 1 minute walk, that along with amazing restaurants within walking distance and a market for those 'oops' I forgot the ---- also within walking distance. Would have liked to stay a MONTH... and will return for sure! This is the vacation spot for those who love the beach and the ocean air!
