Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000. - Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted. - Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine. - While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance. - No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings. - All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. The property was in a fantastic location: park, cafes, coffee shops all within walking distance. Cleaning supplies, coffee, tea, sugar and nice shower supplies were provided.
The back downstairs bedroom could use a bookshelf for the guest to put makeup bags on. The upstairs shower seems to only be hot or cold.
Great Location & Spacious, But Needs Maintenance & Realistic Noise Rules
We recently stayed at this condo and had a good experience overall, but there are a few things future guests should know.The Good: The location is fantastic—close to great restaurants, entertainment, and attractions. Street parking was plentiful, which was a huge plus. The host communicated well, making check-in and check-out smooth. The condo was easy to access and reasonably priced for the area. It’s also very spacious, with comfortable beds and couches, plenty of seating in the common areas, and great views of Balboa Park from the patios.The Not-So-Good: A significant number of floor tiles were ripped up or damaged, and many cabinets were unhinged or broken. The master bedroom’s patio door had no lock, which was a safety concern. The noise restrictions (50 decibels during the day, 45 in the evening) were unrealistic for a 6-bedroom condo that sleeps 15 people. Most bedroom and bathroom doors were hard to open/close and loud, ironically exceeding the noise limit. Outlets were inconveniently placed, making charging difficult.Overall, while the space, location, and comfort were great, maintenance issues and strict noise rules made it less ideal for a large group. Fixing these would greatly improve the experience.
Perfect for my large family, in-laws, friends. The steam shower never worked, and the electrical switches were confusing, but all in all the stay was great! Great location with easy local things to do, and plenty of space for all! I would book it again!
The overall experience was good. There are some things that need to be upgraded. The one negative I can say is the master bedroom not having any blinds or drapes. It's way too bright in there.

Run down, great location
The property was pretty rundown. Lots of little things wrong with the place. A little TLC and it could really be nice. But it doesn’t seem as if there’s much effort being put into that.
Everything would have been perfect only if we can locate and know where the light switches are. It was such a puzzle - I recommend a map of the switches and instructions. The ceiling fan in one room doesn't have a switch to turn off.
Also, the floor in the master bathroom which is shared bathroom can be slippery.
Immediately upon upon checking in we noted the elevator was broken. Called Josh and he attempted to relocate us however was unable. Did offer compensation for not having access to the elevator. Enjoy the facility would recommend this condo..

Our party of 10 loved this property. The location is minutes from beaches, food, and nightlife. Everything about this house far exceeded our expectations. The beds were so incredibly comfortable that every single person raved about them. The only thing that could have been better is the lighting in the upstairs bathroom. The lights were pretty dim.
If we return, we will be booking this same property. Thank you San Diego and AvantStay for the experience and memories!
