"The worst “hotel” imaginable. Staff have no idea what they’re doing. No wifi (i mean who needs wifi). I was told to be ready at 6 am
sharp for transport to the city. It never came. The hotel reception said that in Peru when we say 6 am we really mean 7 am. Unbelievable. I only woke up at 5 am and was there 15 minutes early. I had to hitch a ride with another couple’s driver (pure luck) to get to the city, My driver is still probably on his way. The worst part is in my haste I left behind my hat....
"Our room was fastidiously clean and kept tidy. Staff was amazing and made sure all our needs were met, and went out of their way to make us welcome. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The service during meals was just outstanding--we did not have to wait between courses or for our glasses to be refilled as staff kept a close eye. "Miskiwasi was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and smelt amazing. The food served at the hotel was lovely and very delicious. A nice variety for breakfast and dinner. The owners of Miskiwasi were so accommodating. They helped up with booking tours and taxis, and made sure we got to each place we needed to be. We would highly recommend doing Chimpa Fortress as we saw over 20 condors and enjoyed a hike at the same time (much cheaper then the Colca cross tour, less people and more condors!). Yanque is very small, a trip to Chivay may be of interest if you have the spare time. "
"Best location in Colca Canyon to see the Andean condors. Staff, facilities were superb with a nice spa and hot tubs. The general area is rustic, and there is really only one good road into Colca Canyon from either Puno or Arequipa. It's a high-altitude area, so be prepared to be impacted if you plan to engage in any physical activities. "
"An absolutely incredible place to relax and explore the Colca Valley! The location couldn’t be better—just steps from the hot springs, which we had almost entirely to ourselves on a weekday. The amenities were top-notch, the bed was luxuriously soft, and feeding the alpacas was a truly unforgettable experience. This spot exceeded our expectations in every way and made our visit to the Colca Valley unforgettable."
"This was a wonderful place to stay with a small group. The rooms were spacious and clean. The dining room met all our needs, and the front office and dining room staff were happy to help with whatever we needed.
I look forward to staying again in the future. "
