"Staff were brilliant but there was something going on with the pipes around the heated towel rail in the bathroom, lots of airlock noise which was disturbing. Every 45 mins or so there was a very loud noise, which sounded like the kettle falling off the chest of draws, happened several times during the night which kept me awake. Really don't know what this was but it was loud enough to make me jump. Not sure if anyone else has had an issue. Room 9"

"Wonderful property and wonderful stay. Great walking paths. Love the multiple reception rooms so lots of spaces for people to gather. The kitchen is about as cozy as it can get. The rooms were all really good sizes. If you are tall prepare to duck a lot, hubby hit his head a few times in the door ways, but other than that perfect stay and would def go back again. "

"The accommodation was advertised as ‘Wow’, sadly it was not. The accommodation suited our needs for a family of ten adults and one baby. We liked the idea of everyone having their own bathroom and plenty of space to socialise. The bedrooms were advertised as recently upgraded This was not the case. Poorly decorated rooms with bodged work and badly maintained. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and fresh cotton linen. In our bedroom on the second floor There was an old ( brown aged) sign saying the shower couldn’t be used as it was leaking. This sign was so old it should have already been fixed. This meant we had to fit our showers around other people’s showers which took a while for us all to get ready for trips out. The window blinds in this room had holes in it and a moth trapped in the roller. The other bedroom on this floor had a terrible smell coming from the bathroom. It smelt like sewage. This wasn’t too bad the first night and we thought it was a blip but the smell was so bad the second night the couple and 4 month old baby had to put towels at the base of the door to try and stop the smell and not use the bathroom The had to go down stairs to the toilet during the night. The smell got so bad the couple were so worried about the babies health they had to move down stairs to the living room to sleep. Very unsettling for the baby. Also, in this room the roller blind wouldn’t stay down I weighed it down with a pole I have more to say but no room"

"Arrived in dark, wind & rain. Code for key safe didn't work. 3 broken nails, soaked through & frozen, 2 calls to the management company got us access to a 2nd key safe for a spare key. Unpacking the car, security lights kept going out, so that I ended up tripping over a plant pot in the dark. Now soaked, frozen & bruised, discover the heaters were off so cottage is stone cold. Not very welcoming arrival. Next day, I get a message asking me to pay an extra fee because they've just been advised by the owner that I have my dog with me. When I booked through Expedia, the advert said there "may" be a charge. I emailed at that time to advise the dog was coming too & to let me know what I needed to pay. No reply was made, so I assumed the "may" be a charge was not applicable. I was now being asked for what amounted to another third of what we already paid for the accommodation - for that total spend I could have stayed in a hotel in the centre of Bath with dog, which we chose not to do because we thought this place was cheaper! Pros: lovely accommodation, fantastic enclosed field where the dog could run Cons: unadvised extra charge, unwelcoming start"
