Has potential but mediocre stay

I had a 1 month stay at this property. Regarding the neighborhood, it is within walking distance to a very nice park, Fitts Park, and there is also a community garden where some items are for public consumption. I was too early in the growing season to take advantage of this. The property is also within walking distance to a movie theatre, a delicious pizza restaurant, and a few other eateries. I had 2 random people knock on my door, and gave vague reasons for their visit which was unnerving and at times I did not feel safe at this VRBO. This half block where the unit is located is sketchy.The unit itself is older, and could use a fresh paint job, some repairs/remodel and a deep cleaning. There were grease stains on the wall in the kitchen, plant debris in the window track, and what appeared to be dried boogers on the wall in the bathroom. The pillows on the bed were uncomfortable, and the loveseat in the living room was also uncomfortable. There are bolts/screws/nails visible hanging out of the walls. The kitchen trashcan was dirty. I appreciated the Brita water filter pitcher that was filled and ready upon my arrival. I appreciated the extra trash bags, laundry detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper made available.Another downfall to this property is the parking situation. There are reserved spaces for each unit, but other tenants take more spaces than they should and I had to park on the street often. The spaces are marked, but no one enforces the parking.
