"The house was great and beautiful even though we only had one night there. We understand that there was a drought but there should be a backup plan for running out of water. If you're going to list this property you have to have running water at all times. But we did appreciate you finding us a place to go and stay for the rest of our time there we really enjoyed that"

"Homesteader Lodge is a beautiful property and home, directly on the lake. We loved that it was pet-friendly too!The house had everything we needed, including a wonderful hot tub, just off of the screened in porch. It was too cool for us to use the porch but it would be lovely in warmer weather. The beds were very comfortable and the house was exactly as pictured. Bathrooms were clean, with plenty of hot water. The kitchen had lots of dishes and cookwear, as well as new appliances. One thing I would suggest is picking up your groceries, etc in the towns nearby as there aren’t places close by to shop. Antigonish is about 25 minutes away. This property is very unique, both in design and location and anyone who is lucky enough to stay will truly enjoy their time there. "

"Yes we had two dogs with us, great spot for them to enjoy. We had an issue with the coffee pot and the owners took care of it within 30 minutes. Only issue was the odor of the water, it was fully explained that it was safe to drink and bathe in but very off putting. We bought water to drink and limited showers. Other than that it is an awesome spot."
