"I was in Magdalena to visit the VLA, for a podcast I do called the Star River Podcast. It's all our about connection across space and time with everybody who has ever looked up at the night sky or ever will. There is no better place than Magdalena to see that night sky, and there is no better place than the Hogan to have stayed in Magdalena. 360 views of pristine dark night skies was the highlight of my trip. In addition to that the space itself was wonderful, I wanted for nothing, and the host was not only responsive but flexible and helpful. I will come back again."

"You get what you pay for. To be fair, the place was under renovations so things could have been better. There should be better communication between the app and the hotel chain because when we got there, the room we booked wasn't available due to the renovations. The room we were given wasn't cleaned very well (trash in trash can, food in fridge) , we had a lot of bugs (more the region than the hotel's fault, but worth calling out) and the tv was damaged with burn marks at the bottom and flickering lile it had seen better days. Beyond that, bed was comfy, it was great having a restaurant next door for dinner and it was a plus that it was right off the freeway. AC worked really well, too. Hope when the renovations are done, things will be a lot smoother for the place. "

"We really love staying at Best Westerns. Always clean. Already give extra towels and wash cloths. There is always a great variety at the continental breakfasts. They are also in great vicinity to places we're going. Parking lots are easy to get in and out of."
