Stunned at how great this stay was! The check-in experience was smooth, even though I’d made last-minute changes and requests, and the room was clean and comfortable. The town was packed due to the once annual Trinity Site event, but the room was quiet and the staff was accommodating. Well done, Team SMI!!

The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and polite! It was quiet. The rooms were cozy. I definitely would stay here again!

I only interacted with staff during checkin. Checkin went smoothly. The room was basic and well appointed. The king-sized bed was comfortable. There were a small sofa, coffee table, a larger mini-refrigerator, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, a blow dryer, and a desk and chair. I didn’t try the microwave, coffee maker, or blow dryer. I didn’t try the television, but it looked nice. The lighting and HVAC worked well. I didn’t use it, but the heat light in the bathroom would be handy on a cold morning. I could walk to Sofia’s for huevos rancheros in about two minutes.

The inn is centrally located, directly across the street from several very nice restaurants and a Dollar store. The staff at the main office was extremely pleasant and efficient. Parking is easy and the price makes this an excellent choice!

It is an old hotel that's getting renovated. The rooms have been renovated and have a nice decor along with refrigerator freezer, cook top, kitchen sink, microwave, Direct TV. Big rooms that are nice for long stays. Nice shower, bathroom, and vanity. It is a WIP but they are getting there.

The room was decent. The bed was stiff and not super comfy but it’s what you get for the price. The shower had good water temp and pressure. It was bowed and pulling away from the wall. The whole place needs a remodel but I’d rather have the good rates than something fancy.

Good check-in. Very clean and refurbished room. This is a facility the owners are obviously trying hard to restore. If you want to help support a small business with a big dream, this is an easy and comfortable way to do it.

Wonderful stay

Great stay. Outside isn’t much to look at, but our room appeared to be recently renovated. It was very nice. Customer service was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

For budget lodging, San Miguel Inn is a great option. The rooms were clean, the inn was quiet, and although the facility is a little run down, the owners are making caring renovations. The inn felt safe too, with good lighting, what seems to be a community of long-term tenants, and lots of kids' toys in front of units. I'll happily stay here again on future trips around Socorro.

Staff made it worth it

The front desk staff was INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. The motel is old but they are in the middle of renovations and clearly trying to update. It’s your standard roadside motel, but very clean. Beds and pillows weren’t the most comfortable but for just a place to sleep one night, possibly two, it does just fine.

The staff was very nice. If you don’t want fancy and you just care whether it is clean this hotel is fine. My complaint was no fitted sheet. So sheet kept exposing the mattress. Not crazy about that. The bathtub was stained but we did not take a shower. There was decent tv and furnace worked. There was a coffee maker! They did accept our pets with no problem. Cost 10 dollars a dog. When you travel with pets you are not going to get super nice facilities usually!

Acceptable and economical

If you just need a place to sleep and take a shower - it was acceptable. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the bed sheets clean. We had our own pillows.The water pressure was a bit low but enough to take a shower. If you're not planning on spending a lot of time in the room other than sleep than it's acceptable and economical.
