"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"Loved the space. Lots of small details included, facilities were fantastic, great sleep and brilliant view of Fuji. Loved that it was walking distance to the lake too."

"I stayed at Fujisan Bessho Sasa and really enjoyed it. The ryokan is spacious and has a premium, almost luxury feel. We booked a room with a mountain view and a private bath. The view was amazing and the room was spotless. There were lots of free activities too, like a drum performance, a bar with complimentary drinks, and a piano performance. They also offer free yukata. The rooftop public bath was clean and had a great view as well.
The staff were polite and helpful, and the free shuttle made getting to and from the Kawaguchiko Station easier, even though the location is a bit farther from the Station. We also wandered through the garden, which was beautifully maintained. With the kaiseki dinner included, I felt the whole experience was really good value for money."
"Helped me see Mt. Fuji at sunrise.
There was a thick layer of fog forming right above the Yamanakako Lake in the early mornig, which seems to be a common thing in this season. Because this hotel was above the fog it didn't obstruct our view of the beautiful Mt. Fuji at sunrise. It was a very clear and sunny day, and the fog cleared up within a couple of hours after sunrise.
If you are aiming for sunrise picture, this hotel really enhaces your chance of catching the precious view. "
