Staff is super friendly and helpful, helped us to organise sightseeing tours and let us leave our luggage while we went to Sapa. Breakfast is good and you can order Vietnamese coffee. Great location. Rooms are well equipped and laundry service is fast.

Western level quality and service

The property is clean. I'm not a big fan of hotel breakfasts, they're usually low quality bad food. But the included breakfast here is quality food, with both western and vietnamese food.

They are stingy with everything, juices are mostly water, there are no hot drinks other than tea or black coffee only, the dishes are not replaced when they are finished, limited of type of food, few tissues in the room and bathroom, torn towels, the sheets and towels are not changed just arrange it again while it is still wet, the bathroom will fill with water when you have shower, place not quite, poor service.. shame to see 4 stars like that

When you leave your luggage before or after you check in, they just leave it in attended. So be sure to lock it up. The train arrives early and you can not check in until 2 so be prepared to have morning activity planned before your check in

Don’t trust the reception staff for taxi/ tours

The stay was good overall. I wasn’t going to write a negative review the first time but due to a second incident I am convinced to write this. Please book your own taxi/ tour and do not trust the reception staff. It seems they have a ‘setting ‘ with the taxi drivers and they charge extra. The first time the receptionist booked a 2 hour tour for 575,000 vnd. It was overpriced and when I complained to the manager he apologized on behalf of the staff for not giving full information. Then at check out I asked another receptionist for a taxi to the bus stop 850m away. She said it will be 50000 vnd. I reminded her the distance then she said ‘ok give 30,000 vnd. When I asked her if the taxi is metered she pretended she didn’t understand . I went outside and got a taxi for 20000.

The location is good but unluckily we got a room with bathroom issue. The water leaked from the bathtub and make the floor wet all over the place. The hotel didn’t provide any transport services from Sapa to Lao Cai station for the overnight train. You have 2 options, either take taxi (you can find it in front of the hotel but expensive) or you take a minivan bus about 50,000 VND per pax. You can book with the travel agent beside the Sun Plaza (just right beside the restaurant).

2층에 숙박했는데 바로 위에 세탁실이 있는지 세탁기 탈수하는 소리가 들립니다. 그리고 외부로 열리는 창문이 없어서인지 약간 쾌쾌한 냄새가 났습니다. 조식은 쌀국수 죽 토스트 정도 먹을만하고 오믈렛 진짜 맛없어요. 위치는 상당히 좋아서 저녁 먹고 가볍게 호숫가 산책하기 좋았습니다.

Fabulous stay

This hotel truly exceeded our expectation. Its is nonless than any 4 star hotel. The location is so central and beautiful. The staff esp. those at the reception went beyond the norms to help us with our itinerary, and supported throughout our stay in all possible ways. Very much recommended.
