"Stayed a few times now. Staff is a bit grumpy and will not go out of their way to help with any needs. But the location and history of the place is hard to stay away. "
"A comfortable, lovely home and yard.We love being on the water in this certainly delivered. We would definitely return! One bedroom on main level. Stairs to yard so anyone with mobility issues would find this a negative BUT a wonderful deck off the living area which could be enjoyed by everyone. Carol & Norm"

"This house was just perfect for our needs! There were 11 women on a “Sisterhood” Retreat! The lake was just beautiful. The home is “Old World Beautiful”! Someone along the way knew how to decorate this beautiful home and paid attention to every detail with A-LOT of love. The house is full of warmth and the spirit is alive of the memories of long ago.Thank you, we already hope to return!Chara"

"Hot tub was clean hot and very comfortable, cabin was cozy beautiful. Rooms beds were comfortable ! Watch for wildlife keep your cars locked and clean! Night skies are beautiful clear. Thanks for an unforgettable weekend !"
"Beautiful location. 1 min walk to the lake with Tahoma Market a 5 min walk. Saw a beaver in the lake and a bear across the street. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Will be coming back again!"
"We had a great multigenerational family vacation at this spacious cabin. We’ve stayed at places where it is obvious the owners never set foot in it. This felt like someone’s cared-for home - a very well-stocked kitchen, nicely appointed furniture, wonderful wall decor. We love walking to the Tahoe Pines beach for a quick dip. For the young and old, bring your aqua socks for the rocky lake bottom there. Nice neighborhood, great location for our favorite west shore activities."
"Had a very nice time!!….Bears were about, but no real bother. The Beach on the property is at least half of the joy!…we will book again if available!.."

"Note: This review is specific to a winter trip. This is a charming rustic cabin in a Tahoma neighborhood. Great central west shore location with very easy access to Homewood, Palisades, and Tahoe City. Cozy and romantic for a couple, and ample room for 4 people. Would not recommend more than that in winter, as described below.Emphasizing RUSTIC, because in winter time this cabin has some limitations.First, we were really drawn to the listing's feature of a wood burning fireplace. Which worked great, BUT they do not provide firewood. There was no mention of this in the listing or pre-arrival instructions, so we were caught unprepared and couldnt use the fireplace on the first night. Total bummer, especially considering it was sub-20F(-6C). Second, there is only one wall heater, and no way to control the temp. It does an adequate job of heating the first floor, but not so great on the second floor, where two of the three bedrooms are. The bedroom with the two single beds is in a room with a full wall of windows, so it was VERY cold. ie, would not recommend using this as a bedroom in the winter if it's really cold. To accommodate for this, they provide space heaters in every room, but the electric in the house is really old. We blew a fuse on the first night, which caused the internet to go down.To their credit, property manager sent someone next day. He also couldnt figure out temp control on the wall heater, but electric was sorted.Otherwise, nice place."
