Wonderful flat in perfect location!

Everything about this flat is perfect: the location, the historical building, the easy access to parking, the amenities and especially, the owner. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy all that Normandy has to offer!

We were there for only one night. The property was clean and the host responded to all our inquiries. It was centrally located. It was minimally furnished but met our needs. There were few amenities but that was known by the property description and reflected in the price. Drawback...it was an upper floor without an elevator.

Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Dit appartement ligt op een prima locatie,midden in het centrum.Het is alleen matig onderhouden,ziet dat er in de badcel over schimmels heen word geverfd (toen wij binnenkwamen rook het sterk naar verf lucht ).Keukeninventaris was erg armmoedig,en tot onze schrik niet schoon,hebben een paar spulletjes die we nodig hadden zelf grondig afgewassen. Ook heb ik een fles bleek gehaald om het bad en de tegels nog extra schoon te maken,smoezelig in onze beleving. Gelijk alle beddengoed nagekeken,dat bleek gelukkig in orde. Als je naar de prijs,kwaliteit kijkt dan kan het net want het was idd niet echt duur.Maar voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar,dan kies ik liever voor iets duurder en schoner.Voor mensen slecht ter been,veel trappen.

Nous n'avons pas eu toutes les précisions sur l'appartement sur le site. Par exemple: l'appart est situé au 3è étage; et surtout nous sommes déçus pour le fait que la peinture venait d'être faite dans certaines parties de l'appartement; nous avons très mal passé nos nuits pour l'odeur que dégageait la peinture.

Très bien situé, spacieux, meublé simplement

Nous avons pu passer un excellent séjour, sans voiture (laissée au parking juste à côté pendant plusieurs jours) et profiter pleinement et à pied (!) de tout ce que Rouen a à offrir de splendeurs : illuminations nocturnes sur le parvis de la cathédrale, musées, panorama XXL, Gros Horloge, restaurants, balades et shopping. L'appartement est idéalement situé, tout près de la cathédrale, mais forcément un peu bruyant, surtout quand on est obligé de laisser les fenêtres ouvertes quand c'est la canicule! Cela mis à part, il est propre et spacieux, le lit est confortable. L'ameublement est sommaire et parfois un peu vétuste, mais on n'y passe que peu de temps, pour dormir, et le principal est présent : télé, connexion wifi, rangements, frigo, de quoi cuisiner si on le souhaite, un bon fauteuil, que demander de plus?!

Older, excellent location

Nice location. Older, but updated, and stone's throw away from the Cathedral, at the very heart of the city. Beds were comfortable, and had what we needed for our one night stay. The open kitchen/dining/living room has a bed, but there is a door for privacy during the night. Unfortunately, no oven, and a smaller, under the counter ice box, with a very tiny freezer (since we like cooking for ourselves, these are the only reasons we are not giving it full 5 stars). No measuring cups, but since there was only the stovetop and no oven, there wasn't much cooking. There is a microwave, and a laundry machine. The owners were quite willing to work with us on the fly when our schedule got messed up by some road blockages. In short, very much recommended for people who are interested in city sightseeing, especially if you are going to eat out anyway and just use the kitchen for breakfasts and late night snacks. You'd pay double for less at a hotel, so the price is very good value for the money. If cooking on holidays is not your thing, feel free to consider this as a 5-star review.

Cet appartement est idéalement situé pour ceux qui souhaitent visiter le centre ville de Rouen. Grand, propre, meublé simplement. Pour ceux qui ont des bagages, il faut savoir qu'il se situe au 3ème sans ascenseur. Un bémol pour le stationnement un peu difficile à trouver.

My first HomeAway stay

This was my first HomeAway stay, and a very good start. The owner is very helpful and quick to reply to messages. I would say the apartment is very European-average, but what makes it special is the location. The Rouen Cathedral is only about one block away. If you look out the window to the left, you can see the towers. If you look to the right, you'll see that the historic Pont Boieldieu is even closer. There is also a good supermarket in easy walking distance. The apartment is reached by a stairway and is on the third floor (or 4th, the way floors are counted in the U.S). I hope to stay there again on my next Rouen trip.

sympa et pratique, bien situé en centre ville

Tres bons contacts avec le propriétaire pour la préparation de notre séjour et accueil parfait. Le logement est idéalement situé dans le centre-ville, la vue sur la Seine est très sympa. Le logement est accueillant, propre, bien chauffe et bien équipé pour un séjour agréable . A recommander. Nous y retournerons!
