"The check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. The room had everything you would expect, and was very clean. Even though it was pretty hot outside the room was reasonably cool and a fan was provided. One thing to note is there weren’t many sockets in our room, meaning I had to choose between the lamp or the fan and plug my phone in at the end of the bed, not a big issue though. Opted not to include breakfast in our booking as there are a lot of nice, reasonably priced cafe’s close by. But the bar was well managed with lots of seating both inside & out. Only issue we had was with the parking, I had messaged in advance to request parking, but when we arrived the car park was completely full aside from a few spaces which were marked as reserved for specific people. Fortunately there was some nearby on street parking available and it wasn’t too expensive for just a weekend."

"Great place to stay. Room was very comfortable. Nice atmosphere in tbe bar and breakfast was excellent. Can't comment on the food as the nights we were there, Monday and Tuesday, they weren't doing food. Plenty free parking. Would recommend the Union."
