This was a great place to stay for our short time in Rome. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We wish that we could have stayed longer. All staff members were very helpful with information and suggestions for our dinning and local events.
Great stay at Spagna rooms. Location cannot be better, and the room was clean, and comfortable, although a little small also. We also enjoyed a little breakfast or an evening glass of wine on the terrace. Maria was an excellent host, always easy to reach and everything was taken care of.
Firstly. Communication was excellent from spagna. We arrived at the rooms at 2pm, and told that the room would be ready in an hour, despite hotel information stating check in was from 2pm. We wandered around the neighbourhood returning at 3.45 but the room still wasnt ready. We finally got the room just after 4pm. Going out again we couldn't open the front door with our keys, and nor could another couple staying. It turned out that the front door was opened automatically by pushing the buzzer but we weren't told this.
Was woken from a dead sleep at 0830 from a group of people continually pushing the door buzzer wanting to check in. Please note that this is not a hotel, but more like a b&b. The front desk is not manned all day.
All in all not a good experience for us. Very handy location for spanish steps and trevi fountain.
I stayed for two nights and it’s was just right. The location is close to food and shops and in the middle of the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Maria was so sweet and complimented our stay with chocolates, wine and water. Great place to stay. Please note that you have to take stair to get to the rooms but it’s not a lot maybe 10 total. But just something to know for if you need a wheelchair or have bad knees
Had such a great stay at Spagna Rooms. I was really pleasantly surprised by how well equipped it was - coffee machine, mini fridge and kettle in the room. Food was laid out for us every day for breakfast and there was also a toaster.
Francessca was excellent and recommended a wonderful sushi restaurant, Zuma. When we arrived she had made an extra effort as we were celebrating an anniversary.
There was a little bit of disruption from builders outside but unless you’re planning to sleep in it wasn’t a problem. We would have liked a bit more access to the outside courtyard area as it was often locked when we wanted to use it.
Overall it was an excellent stay, would recommend to anyone wanting a central location, walking distance to everything and well kept, modern facilities.
Francesca and Maria could’ve been nicer. My wife had a terrible fall that left her whole right arm painful and bruised when we arrived in Rome. Francesca asked her doctor for advice and gave usbthe name of a cream to buy. It certainly helped the healing to start. We had a bottle of water and wine in our room when we arrived. The woman made sure there was nespresso and snacks for breakfast. The fabulous location made it possible for us to visit all the Rome sites. The lovely garden terrace was a great place to chill out with a beer. Overall a fantastic place to stay.
I would highly recommend staying at Spagna Rooms.
The location is very central to many of the main attractions in Rome. Just a quick walk and 3 stops from the Roma Termini station. The host, Francesca, always responded quickly and was incredibly helpful. She made herself available when I had miscellaneous questions and even helped me call a restaurant and gave her own recommendations.
The space itself is extremely clean. It was recently remodeled so it's more modern compared to other places I've stayed at in Italy. The room isn't huge, but if you're like me and you're out for most of the day anyway, it shouldn't be a problem.
