I tetti di Piazza Navona is located in the heart of the historical center, between Piazza The apartment is located in the heart of the historical center, between Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, on the 4th floor (no elevator) of a historic building dating back to the 1600s. As with most antique buildings, there is no elevator. This charming apartment can accommodate up to 6 people. There is a living room with sofa bed, a small kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a single bed convertible in double bed. Furthermore, a romantic wrought iron spiral staircase will lead you to a truly exclusive master bedroom with fireplace and a window with a beautiful view of the rooftops of Rome. From here you have access to a beautiful terrace where you can take in this breath-taking city with its domes, the red roofs of the historic buildings, the tower of Parliament and flying seagulls.

Together with the historic charm of this apartment are modern comforts like air conditioning and free Wi-Fi Internet connection.

Perfect location

Great location. Property manager was easy to work with; we got to check in early, location is convenient to everything. you have to take a narrow spiral staircase to get to the top floor bedroom.

The property manager was fantastic, location amazing, bedrooms and main space were good. The ac was enough to keep the upstairs bedroom and main room very cold, the bedroom on the main level was good enough with the door left open. Be prepared for a lot of stairs, which was fine for us. The bathroom is super tiny and aligns with the photos. We were in Rome during the "heat dome" and the bathroom is directly in the sun with no ac, no curtain, and no window to open which made it extremely hot. No coffee supplied, but there is a Nespresso machine, so BYO.

Rome Apartment

Great location, safe neighborhood and building. Check in process was easy, and he was very helpful, giving us a map of the city and highlighting areas, attractions and restaurants. About 70 stairs to the room, wasn’t a problem for us, but would be for an older or disabled individual. Had a great stay.

Lovely Stay in Rome

The apartment was perfectly located and as described. The stairs were a lot with our luggage - but Adriano offered to help and the apartment was worth it. The terrace was the perfect place to spend the morning. We enjoyed two of the restaurants right by the apartment and were thrilled with the location to the Pantheon and Piazza Novona. Would definitely stay again!

First Rome Trip

Our first trip to Rome. The apartment was in a perfect location to walk or bike to anywhere in the city. Having AC is an absolute must have for a trip to Rome.

Great location, but a lot of stairs to get to

1 thing that was terrible was that you need to walk up 67 steps to get to the apartment. No elevator. The apartment was very nice though, the roof top bedroom and outside area was beautiful. Bathroom was very small. Very close to everything which was a plus. Check in process was easy just have cash to pay the 6 tax to stay per each person plus 150 deposit and 130 cash cleaning fee.

Great central location!

We had a great stay! Lots of restaurants right by the apartment (including a gelato store with 150 flavors! YUM!). It is very close to the Pantheon as well for some quick shopping. There are a lot of steps! But very worth it for the rooftop area! Check in was very smooth, owners helped us a lot and were easy to co tact and quick to answer! It is a great place for all sightseeing locations!

The stairs to the apt are a little daunting first time - I could see them being frustrating with rolling luggage- but doable. But it had the exact charm we were looking for. Would have appreciated more than 2 rolls of toilet paper provided for a 6 night stay- but otherwise property was great. Correspondence via WhatsApp prior to arrival was simple and smooth. Great location to piazza Navona, Pantheon and Trevi fountain. A bit of a walk to colosseum and Vatican but very easy. And close to bus transport if preferred would recommend for anyone looking for charming experience close to “touristy” attractions. Great food found nearby with simple Yelp searches and a wonderful trattoria just out front of the place with great food. Accommodations of place were simple but sufficient.

Love the neighborhood!

Our group really staying in neighborhood that was close to the sights but didn’t feel touristy! We were prepared for the steps to the 4th floor apartment so that wasn’t an issue for us! We were able to enjoy the balcony when the weather was warm and can only imagine how wonderful it would be in the summer.

Location, Location, location

Apartment was great for what we needed. It is easy walking distance (under 2 km) to all the major sites in Rome. Quiet back street with a good restaurant feet from the main door. Terrace was great for an evening cigar and glass of wine. As long as stairs are your friend, I would recommend this property.

Great location

Great location. Short walk to Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Most other destinations were walkable. We never took a taxi. Tavernetta 48 is a very good restaurant located outside the front door. Check in was thorough and the agent was very friendly. Very easy to communicate with the staff. 68 steps to the apartment, so get in shape! It is also off the Main Street and very quiet, a big plus.

Wonderful location

We loved our stay here. Great, central location. We arrived at 10:30 pm and the Tavernetta Restaurant right at the entrance stayed open to serve us dinner. They were so kind and the food was great! We were able to walk (about 30 minutes) to both the Vatican and the Coliseum for our tours. We loved the rooftop deck. Kitchen and bathroom are small, but functional. And as previously mentioned, the stairs were a lot! We were going to rent a car when we arrived at the airport, but postponed it until the day before we left. We were very glad we did! Driving is crazy!

Perfect location in the heart of Roma

This property is authentic, beatify, quaint. The perfect size for what we needed. It is clean. The views are amazing. There are a lot of steps. And I mean a lot. So you must be willing and able to do them. But to us each one of those steps was worth it. It was our joke every day. Loved our stay! Great Hosts! Would recommend to everyone!

Excellent value for an outstanding property

I agree with all the comments about the great location. There 2 authentic restaurants (Il Bacaro and Taverna 48) literally outside the door on a side street that has more of a courtyard vibe. The building is quite historic so you get the feel that this is the real deal. Kitchen and bath are cramped and basic--you will not cook a meal here. The rooftop terrace was beautiful. It would be nice to have some comfortable furniture to enjoy your own aperitivo overlooking the rooftops. Don't bring a car--there is no place to park it. We flew into Rome, took public transportation to the apartment. After 3 days we took a taxi back out to the airport to pick up our rental car for the rest of our Italy trip. We groaned climbing all those steps but feel it got us in shape for the rest of our trip!

Great location near all

We loved the terrace and the location. This place is right in the center of everything but tucked away and on a high floor making it quiet. Valerio met us at check in and oriented us to the area and gave us lots of suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants, and local travel. We loved the restaurant right next door and tons of shops, groceries and amenities within a short walking distance. The a/c worked great during a heatwave but it is important to note that the smaller bedroom does not have one. My teen slept there and we kept the door open to the living room and the room stayed cool. The kitchen and bathroom could use a refresh and the pics online of these spaces seem a bit outdated. The steps are a lot but we were aware of that going in. We also just came from Positano so we had some training! Otherwise, a great stay.

Unbeatable Location to Explore Rome!

We were blown away by the location of this Rome apartment. All the places we wanted to explore were walkable from the location and there were excrement restaurants and bars just downstairs. This is an old building, but that is the charm of it. As other reviews and the description state, the stairs are no joke! If you have to cart multiple suitcases up - just be prepared for a workout! While it is small, it has everything you need including a washer. The rooftop terrace is fabulous, as well. My only recommendation would be to make the beds a little more comfortable. The communication and check in was excellent. We had no surprises. If you have good knees and you want a prime location to explore Rome, this apartment is a gem.

This place was FABULOUS!

We cannot recommend this apartment enough! It was clean, functional, well-located, spacious, etc. I LOVED the furniture and washing machine! We were able to cook breakfast for the kids each morning before we hit the ground running. All the beds were comfortable and clean with cozy pillows and covers. The upstairs deck is a real bonus, and all the staff we encountered were extremely polite and helpful. I have read some reviews about the steps, but it is not that bad. The location, beautiful building and furnishings well made up for that (and I would really love to know how they got those awesome but huge pieces of furniture into the living room. They would have HAD to come through a window!) Thanks for a great stay! It is just the kind of place I would have imagined for visiting Rome!

Great rooftop apartment

First of all, the pictures are a little hard to figure out. The patio is on the top outside of the bedroom (it seems obvious but not from the pictures). The property manager was very responsive and I had no issues there. We had six people: my wife and I, and our four children. They already had the beds and couch made up and waiting for us. The location was useful and there are lots of little restaurants nearby. In fact, the one right outside the apartment was one of the best meals we had in Italy. A few things: The kitchen is clean, but not great if you plan to do a lot of cooking. I imagine most visitors wouldn't be interested in that though. If you're done with Pizza and Pasta and want some McDonalds, there's one nearby. You can catch a taxi to anywhere a few blocks away (by the McDonalds). Overall, I would recommend this place as a great place to stay while visiting Rome.

Great place and location

Cute little spot. It is great location and very nice. The first room as you enter the apartment is very hot and with no AC so expect to use the common/living room area with a pull out and nice AC. The Top room which you have to go up he spiral staircase has AC and leads to beautiful balcony. It was very clean and great location and we had a great time. The only negatives are the bathroom is cramped with sheer curtains. The first bedroom as you enter is hot in summer months and does not get fully cool as the the AC is in the common room/living room. So be aware of that but otherwise it was great for 2 people and the living room and upstairs bedroom were cool with AC. It is the most charming local area with many restaurants as you walk out. You can easily walk to Trevi fountain, Parthenon, and the Colosseum. St Peter's Basilica was only 25 min walk as well. Great experience and would choose it again.

A quiet, central, sunny apt to celebrate Rome

Our family of four was looking for a central place to stay in Rome for our first ever visit. This apartment was a dream. Live like a Roman instead of staying in a sterile hotel! There were plenty of kitchen supplies to cook breakfast. During our visit in May, every weekday morning there was a popup fruit and vegetable market right around the corner. Our best meal in Rome was eating at the La Tavernetta 48 right below the apt. The apartment itself has vaulted celings and a cool spiral staircase to the deluxe loft bedroom. The roof patio provides a wonderful view of the rooftops of Rome. Rome is such a busy place, we wanted a calm getaway. This was perfect. One night we walked 5 min to the Pantheon and ate at a restaurant looking right at it. Another night we ate at the Piazza Navona. The kids (11 and 13) launched lighted helicopter toys as night fell. The hosts provided assistance arranging a ride to the airport. A great stay!
