Residenza dei Banchi Nuovi is located on the ground floor of the beautiful building dated 1500th of the Banco di Santo Spirito, the ancient seat of the papal mint used for the minting of 'Giulii' Vatican coins.
This ancient and prestigious building is characterised by a concave facade made from the most famous italian architect Antonio da Sangallo the Younger and from two wonderful baroque statues symbolizing Love and Frugality.

Perfect stay in amazing location

We have just returned from a short stay at Alessandro's beautiful apartment.The property is perfectly located at a comfortable walking distance for all must see attractions in central Rome, and only a few minutes' stroll from Castel Sant'Angelo.We found everything we needed for a few nights away, and Alessandro was extremely helpful and easily contactable for any questions we had.Thank you Alessandro.. a fantastic apartment and a fantastic host. Perfect location and great place

We love this part of Rome and appreciated that this was at the quieter end of the street. Our host was very responsive and the guidebook was very helpful. It isn’t a large place but it looks just like the photos and was spotless. We would definitely stay here again but probably best for a very small group.

Great place in Roma!

We had a great stay at this place hosted by Alessandro. Neighborhood was great with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Walking distance to Saint Peter’s, Colosseum, Pantheon, etc. Alessandro was helpful with food recommendations - all were excellent. We traveled with our infant and the baby crib was provided. Great placed for small families or couples.

Rome Apartment

Alessandro's apartment is right in the centre of all the attractions in Rome. All are within walking distance. The apartment is clean and tidy and has all the amenities you could need. Alessandro is super helpful and has his office just around the corner so is always available to help.

Fantastic Rome

The property was amazing and the location was excellent. The apartment had everything we needed in it, with a comfortable bed and nice shower. There were plenty of places to eat for breakfast, although there was a well stocked kitchen if you prefer to eat in. You could reach almost all of the attractions within a 20 minute walk. There were plenty of restaurants and bars close by, and they were reasonably priced. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future.

Location, location

Had a fabulous stay in the heart of the action. The apartment was steps away from shops, restaurants and sites. The apartment itself was roomy enough for a couple and adult child. The main floor has a table, chairs and kitchen.There is a set of narrow and winding stairs to get up to the bedrooms and bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom updated and modern. The twin bedroom is through the bathroom and does not have a door to close off. Alessandro was a great host. He answered all questions before and during our stay. Would definitely chose to stay again when in Rome!

Rome adventure

This place was absolutely perfect! You can’t beat the location. Everything you want to see is within walking distance. We walked to the Vatican, Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, Pantheon…. Now - the apartment… ideal, adorable, very clean, there was even a little welcome basket of chips and crackers. Not noisy, friendly neighbors, excellent area to walk around the meandering streets, we felt VERY safe! Alessandro was communicative, he reached out the day before with clear, simple instructions for check in. We would not hesitate to book his place again. Out of all the neighborhoods we walked around during our stay, we favored his by far.

Cute and Convenient

The location near Piazza Navona is convenient to all that we wanted to see in Rome. Alessandro was helpful from time of booking through to our arrival at our next destination. We felt safe and comfortable in the little place. Unfortunately the door between the bedroom and the toilet was broken which was inconvenient at times. There is a narrow staircase which could be an issue for some people and thankfully we had small bags. Check in and out was seamless, kitchen had the necessities, and we received great tips for our stay and trip. Ear plugs are recommended and I was gratefully for my eye shade.

Great location, friendly host

Alessandro was an excellent host. Very helpful, arranged a very nice private driver to get us to the airport after our trip. The apartment is small, food for one couple plus one. Narrow stairs to get up to the bedrooms. The small bedroom is accessed through the only bathroom. And while we know air conditioning isn’t always common, this apartment doesn’t have it and it gets sticky in warm humid weather. But, great location makes all the important sites very walkable (if you don’t have mobility issues). If you struggle with stairs and also getting your luggage hauled up stairs, then this apartment isn’t for you.

Great but hot

Lovely historical apartment in great location! Close to many attractions. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars overall is because it did not have air conditioning. With Rome being so hot in the summer, we did not have the best sleeps during our stay. Everything else was great. Would highly recommend during cooler seasons.

Alessandro was very kind and the apartment was very quaint, but with summer heat and no air conditioning, we couldn’t do it. There’s a reason Rome mandates hotels to have air conditioning May-Oct and this was an oversight on my part. We had to leave after one night and book a hotel.

Can’t imagine a better location!

2 days in Rome, you need a good location and this couldn’t be beat! 15 minutes to the Vatican, 25 to the Coliseum!
