The lovely apartment consists of 2 bedrooms with kitchen, bathroom, large covered balcony seeds and leafy garden, it is quiet and is located close to the Vatican Museums, a few meters from the Metro line A Ottaviano - San Pietro. The bus stop is 492 at the door d 'entrance, the supermarket is in front of and behind the local market' corner. This was a great place to stay! I can't come up with a way to have improved our stay. Matilde met us to do check-in and collect the city tax (yes, it's a requirement from ANY property in Italy) and gave us a brief run through of the amenities. She was even kind enough to have snacks in the refrigerator and a bottle of wine!The property is a block away from the entry to the Vatican Museums and easy for using the train/bus. It's also within walking distance (3-ish miles) from all of the major attractions. A grocery store is across the street, or there are multiple restaurants within a 15 minute walk. There are also a few shops for clothing and gifts on the same street.The shower was hot and had good water pressure.It was quiet with very little street noise and the neighborhood felt safe.We'd definitely stay again!

Slice of heaven

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The owners checked us in personally, they were amazingly responsive, and absolutely thought of everything when stocking the apartment. Conveniently located to public transportation. Steps from the Vatican Museum entrance. Restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We can’t wait to return. Bravo!

Location !

We had a great time in Rome , the host was very helpful and nice . Highly recommend the location and the host/property . The property was very nice with everything you need to prepare small meals . The patio outside is very cozy and can entertain a whole family.

We absolutely loved our stay! It’s a perfect location and it’s exactly how it looks in the pictures, it’s a super cozy oasis and the garden area is amazing! Amazing time in Rome

We stayed 4 nights at this amazing little hideaway. Everything was amazing, the bed, shower and especially the garden. Walkability to the hot spots of Rome was great. The Vatican is basically right there. Perfect for a family of 3 or a couple. Fantastic!!!

Beautiful courtyard

We loved this apartment. The host was amazing. The best part is the courtyard filled with elephant ear plants and other beautiful flowers and plants. Steps from Vatican City. Looking forward to a return trip.

When in Rome, we found our perfect place to stay

This was a perfect place to stay, literally a block and a half from Vatican City and our tour. Fantastic places to eat were doors away, the grocery store across the street was very affordable and super convenient! Matilde personally checked us in even though we arrived later in the evening. She provided us with a warm smile and all the information we could want about the area. She was even kind enough to gift us a coupe small figures that she made by hand. The outside space was second to none! So many places to sit and enjoy some wine after a long day of site seeing. We will rent this wonderful space every time we visit Rome.

Oasis In The Big City

Matilde met us at the apartment and showed around. She had a bunch of goodies in the fridge for us including a bottle of wine. The place was clean, the bed comfortable and bath room and shower worked well. The star of the place is the attached deck/patio and garden, a haven from the hectic city of Rome. Great location just minutes from the Vatican.

Loved the apartment and location

We spent a few days at Peacock Gardens to unwind after our Mediterranean cruise. We picked the location to be near the Vatican so we could explore this part of Rome. When I say near, the Vatican was so close! The neighborhood was lovely, restaurants, grocery, etc all very convenient. The property itself was perfect for us. We had all the amenities that we could have needed. The bed was comfortable. The standout of the property is the garden courtyard. We spent evenings out there just enjoying the space. If we are in Rome again, we’d definitely book again.

Wonderful Oasis

First of all, Matilde is a wonderful Host and has a lovely apartment close to everything Rome has to offer or at least a short walking distance to. The Market right across the street is excellent if you decide to cook in a night or just want fresh fruit for morning breakfast! But, my absolute favorite thing is the beautiful, Garden Oasis right outside your back door! Great spot for Wine and Charcuterie before going out for dinner. My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in here again in the future!

Absolutely lovely stay

This was the perfect place for my visit to Rome. The apartment is thoughtfully arranged and lovingly decorated. The terrace garden is a wonderful oasis that I spent a great deal of time in. The location was ideal for me - close to the metro and bus, with a very good supermarket across the street, and the Forno Feliziani down the street (great pizza and cornettos). The building is secure and the neighborhood is quite safe. Matilde is a lovely and gracious host and was so helpful to me. I can absolutely recommend this apartment as a great place to stay while in Rome.

Great host

Matilde went above and beyond to be helpful. We never learned mass transportation so we had to take the taxi which made it expensive. Someone with more “city” sense would probably do better than we did. The apartment was very clean and seemed to be well equipped though we didn’t really use anything in the kitchen.

Wonderful Peacock Garden Apt

Our stay at Matilde’s Peacock Garden apt was delightful. The apartment is cozy and comfortable, very tasteful, and quiet at night. The patio area effectively doubles the usable space and was great for relaxing and meals. We arrived early in the day but were able to pay for early check-in. Matilde met us later to go over the apartment and to answer any questions. She was very accommodating and communications were always prompt and helpful. It’s a great neighborhood, only footsteps from the Vatican museums. We enjoyed being away from the bustle of central/Ancient Rome, but still plenty to do in the neighborhood with good restaurants and markets all around, and close to the Metro. Would stay here again without hesitation.
