Campanella is a one bedroom apartment on the fourth floor of a historic building close to Castel Sant’Angelo, the river Tiber, Piazza Navona and Via dei Coronari. A rare occurrence for a block this old, you can count on an elevator, before it there are 20 steps.

Past the entrance, this property is in the predominant tones of white, cream and wood, with wooden floors in a minimalistic space. The bedroom is on your right and features a classic French bed (please note that this is smaller than your average double bed) and a wardrobe - you won't need to worry about storing your clothes and luggage!

The recently renovated bathroom is equipped with a shower and washing machine, for all of your laundry needs.

In the living/dining room a sofa turns into a comfortable double bed, which makes this space perfect for a small family or two couples of friends. Behind it, a wall-mounted kitchenette has all the essentials to fix up a quick meal including pots and crockery, a fridge with a small freezer space, a gas-fired oven and microwave oven, as well as a toaster and moka coffee pot.

The flat relies on independent heating and is equipped with both A/C (in the living/dining room) and a romantic ceiling fan (in the bedroom): just leave the door to the bedroom open and the apartment will be perfectly cool! A WI-FI connection is offered free of charge to all guests and a smart TV system will help you keep up to date with the offerings from your favorite streaming services!

Great location in central Rome. Lots of restaurants, shopping within short walking distance. Generally comfortable. There is an elevator, but you have to walk up a floor to get to it. Kitchen is fairly well equipped. Shower is ok, but fairly small.

The apartment’s location is ideally situated to access major tourist sites, restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and public transportation. There is even a spot to stash your bags on the block if you arrived too early for check in. It’s not a fussy place, and has all the essentials I needed for a pleasant 5-day stay.

Amazing Location

The apartment had plentiful outlets and lights. Was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were within a short walking distance of the Tiber River, the Navona Plaza, great shops, restaurants, Vatican City and St. Angelo’s Castle. Bus lines were nearby.

Perfect location

Wonderful location for hop on hop off bus. Good location for trains, estaurants and shopping. Had everything we needed. Was very hot and ac took awhile to cool down each night as they ask you turn ot off when gone and we were most of the morning and afternoons.

Nice apt, plenty of room. Shower might be tight for larger guests. Directed to turn a/c off during day, it was fine for us when we got back but may be warm if you're not used to the heat. Washer and drying rack was a plus. Good size fridge and close to market stores. Convenient to all the attractions

Location was so perfect!

It is a very cute flat which was great for a first time trip to Rome, truly a walking distance from most of the sites I wanted to see. I stayed with a friend so I slept on the pullout couch bed and it was probably the most comfortable pullout I’ve ever slept on surprisingly. Also very nice that there are plenty of kitchen supplies and things for if you want to cook. Host was super responsive as well when messaged and self check in was very easy with the instructions sent. When I come back to Rome I would definitely stay here again!

Great location but interesting apartment

An unbelievable location and access to everything Rome! So much history, so many restaurants and so many merchants… We absolutely loved it! Now, honestly, there were a few challenges as the first access to the elevator is really two flights up! So when they say “third floor” expect SIX flights of stairs. The coffee maker really needs replacing as it is a drip drip drip, restart, drip drip drip. And NO, it’s not the type maker because we have the same one at home. Also, enjoy the shower as a challenge. Looks great but usability is a different story… LOLHOWEVER, you WILL NOT beat this location! It is in an absolutely amazing spot.

Central to everything

This property is very centrally located and the host made check in very easy. The kitchen is fairly well equipped although we only used a teapot and a few glasses. The property is pretty spacious for two people the interior could use a good painting and we felt the bed was very firm and not very comfortable. The shower lacks any substantial water pressure and it is really a tight squeeze to take a shower, and we are not very large people. I would suggest that more than two towels be left for guests as we found the towels did not dry overnight. The a/c was used with marginal benefits, it was in the upper 70’s when we were there. I’m not sure how it would hand really hot temperatures Overall a nice apartment in a great lication

Good location but HOT

This is a basic no frills apt in the old section of Rome. The location is great as a starting point for exploring on both sides of the Tiber River. While the weather in Rome was hot, the temperature in the apt was almost unbearable.The a/c never cooled the apt below 29C even though we had it at max cooling at night. The cool air never reached the bedroom which had no a/c, only a ceiling fan which was inadequate. For the price, this is a good little apt but not in the heat of summer!

Amazing location but additional fees

The property is exactly as described and comfortably accommodated our family of 3! The AC and in-unit washing machine were added perks for an old building. Very walkable and located on a picturesque street. We genuinely enjoyed our stay here! And the check-in videos were a nice added touch to navigating how to get in etc. I did only give 4 stars as the property manager had us fill out additional information on a 3rd party website (not VRBO) and pay a Rome city tax. This process appears to be standard for most places in Rome however information about this wasn’t included on the listing when we booked. I was contacted a few weeks before our stay to provide the additional information and pay the added fee. I feel like this should be disclosed up front. I would still recommend this unit to friends (a couple or small family with 1-2 children).

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Check-in was amazing, a video was included that made it very clear and easy. The apartment is equipped with all ammenities one could want. Bedding, towels, toilet, and shower were very clean which is huge for us (my wife has OCD about cleanliness). The host was very kind and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect, plenty of very good restaurants and cafes nearby. Walking distance to the vatican and trevi fountain.This was our first time in Rome and this apartment really made it special for us. Wish we could have stayed longer, highly recommend this place.

Great location

A cute little 1 BR apt right in the centre of town. Close to many attractions, shopping and restaurants. The apt was comfortable and welcoming and provided everything we needed for a 3 day stay. While it’s in the centre of town, it’s on the 4th floor and one can not hear noise at night.

A wonderful retreat in the heart of the city

I loved staying in this apartment. It is convenient to all the major attractions either on foot or public transport (I walked everywhere). The apartment has everything you need including laundry, which in the summer heat is a must! The booking process was so easy and the hosts were immediately available if there was a question. I will actually be staying there again at the tail end of my trip to Italy and I am very happy I made that choice. I highly recommend this Vrbo!

Check-in process was very easy and straightforward. Location was insane!! We were in the middle of the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican. Local shops and restaurants were amazing too! We had some issues with the air conditioning but those were resolved the second day by the owner of the property. The toilet seat was broken and we had some trouble with the shower doors.
