The Avalon Rome is a completely renovated apartment in the center of Rome. With two beautifully decorated bedrooms, a large and comfortable living/dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, the Avalon is perfect for 2-6 guests.
The apartment’s location could not be more central for visiting the city of Rome. In one direction, a 5/10 minute walk will take you to the breathtaking Roman Forum and the Colosseum, as well as the Colle Oppio park (the hill where the Emperor Nero built his golden palace over 2000 years ago.) A 10 minute walk in the other direction will take you to the central train station, where trains leave by the hour for Florence, Venice, Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Two metro stops are also within a 10 minute walk of the Avalon: Line A will take you in a few minutes to the Spanish Steps with its incomparable shops, as well as to St. Peter’s Square and the Sistine Chapel. Only two stops on Line B will bring you to the majestic Circus Maximus, where in past millennia ancient Romans staged chariot races. Line B of the metro will also take you to the regular trains to Ostia, where in only thirty minutes you will arrive at the seaside to visit the ruins of Ostia Antica or have a leisurely seafood lunch on the beach.
Among the Avalon’s services are an English-speaking driver who can do not only simple airport transfers but can also take you on private day tours to places like Pompeii and Positano on the Amalfi Coast.

This is our second time staying at this apartment. Salvatore has always been extremely helpful in setting up transportation, suggesting wonderful restaurants, easiest way to get around the city. It’s local to the Metro making it easy to explore on your own. Don’t hesitate to stay here if you are exploring Rome. You won’t be disappointed.

A terrific apartment for our 3-day visit to Rome. The location is close to many terrific sites, and restaurants are nearby. The area is quiet, and we felt perfectly safe here. With temperatures at or near 100ºF, we really appreciated the air conditioning units in the main room and both bedrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped, the and check-in and -out processes were effortless.

The apartment was great. Very clean and modern and secure. The location was excellent, we were able to walk to all of the sites we wanted to visit. Our host, Salvatore was very good with communication. If we needed anything I know he would have responded but everything was good and we did not need a thing. I would recommend this apartment very highly.

Great Apartment in the Heart of Rome

My family and I stayed at the apartment and loved it. The building is very nice and easy to get to. Its close to all the tourist sites but not in a touristy area and you get to experience some of Rome the way people who live there do. Great restaurants and shops around. Would definitely recommend.

Great tips from the family not just for Rome but for other Italian cities as well. We utilized all the recommendations. One of our favorite meals came from the list.Quite close to the Metro and main train station, so it made it easy to go on day trips.

Hidden Gem in Rome

Best host you could want when booking a rental. Great little restaurant nearby and very convenient walk to Colosseum which was are main reason for visiting.

Apartment was as advertised. It was clean, afforadable and within walking distance of historic sites. There was an Irish pub down the street, which we thoight was funny being in Rome.

This location was perfect to visit all the sites. The property was very clean and had most of the things that we needed to make our trip comfortable. We loved the coffee shop for morning coffee and pastry. Area felt safe and had a nice vibe. Would stay again.

We have an amazing time in Rome. The apartment was in a nice location and the owner is simply amazing. He was very responsive to any questions and organized our transportation from the airport and to our cruise ship. I highly recommend!

Terrific location

We really enjoyed our two week stay. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well appointed and the shower had great water pressure. There was no TV however the wifi was fantastically fast so we could stream shows on our iPhone. Salvatore was very responsive to anything we asked. Highly recommend.

Perfect Apartment and Stay in Rome

This apartment is perfectly situated away from the main congestion of Rome. It is close to bothe the A and B lines of the metro. Metro stations are located just a few minutes walk away. The apartment is clean and well appointed. The neighborhood has incredible restaurants and bars (coffee and pastry shops). Sal was easy to communicate with and even arranged for a car to pick us up from the airport. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

Fabulous Location !!

Incredible location, in the heart of Roma. Old world charm and hospitality. Can't thank Salvatore enough for his wonderful welcome and all his guidance. My daughter and I had a wonderful 2-night stay on our way home. We celebrate our shared birthday, when we can, and Sal greeted us with a present!! So nice and thoughtful. Would highly recommend his beautiful place.

The host Salvatore was excellent & helped organize airport pick up & drop off. The apartment was basic. There were 30 steps to navigate to get to the apartment & no elevator. Surprised to not have a T.V. The location was good.

Apartment in Rome

Salvatore was fabulous! He communicated with me any time I had a question . We arrived to Rome earlier than check in and he was kind enough to let us into the apartment early. He arranged transfers to and from the airport. He greeted us and made us feel extremely comfortable and at home . If you are looking for a place to stay in Rome, do not hesitate to work with Salvatore he is honest, reliable and all-around awesome! Thank you so much for a great time Salvatore !

Apartment in Rome!

Getting into apartment was a little problem, as host assistant was late and we got a little concerned. The apartment was as presented. Good location but not walkable to most attractions for me as I am 80, but ok for my grandchildren! The shower is very small as most in Italy but for maybe a large person 175 lbs or more not doable! Salvatore was n touch most all the time and solved any problems ! Gave us a nice book written by his wife about Napoli! Beds were comfy and aparment clean !
