My husband and I and two college age kids really enjoyed the apartment for 9 days, and had a great time in Rome and on a day trip to the Amalfi Coast. It was a typical Italian family apartment that could use some updating but was still quite comfortable. Chiara was very helpful. She arranged a van to take us from and to the airport, and a private guide for the Colosseum. The apartment was in a perfect location - a 15 minute walk from the Vatican, close to the river, and within an easy walk of most of the sites of interest. The only time we took a taxi was to the Colosseum. The building was very quiet except for occasional family noises. The elevator was modern and glass, making it feel very open (you have to go up a few stairs to reach the elevator). There was a building superintendent during the day. The neighborhood was very comfortable and felt totally safe. The main bedroom was large with a double bed, a little hard but we still slept very well, while the second bedroom had two comfortable twin beds. We never had to use the air conditioning because the weather was perfect for keeping the windows open, with a nice view. The kitchen was small but had everything that was needed (and tons of great restaurants, bakeries, and groceries nearby). The only complaint we had was with the typical Italian bathroom with a small shower and difficult to control water (but Americans are spoiled for bathrooms). The internet was good quality and we had no problems with several computers/Ipads at the same time. There was a tv, apparently all Italian channels, though we never tried it. They had tons of books. Overall, we would happily stay there again.
