Modern RRG Cabin | Epic Treetop Views | Hot Tub & Fire Pit
Perched high above the forest in the heart of Red River Gorge, Canopy 7 is a treetop hideaway built for the ones who crave something real. Wake up to breathtaking sunrises through a wall of windows, unwind in a hot tub under a sky full of stars, and spend your days roaming 140 acres of raw, untamed land. Whether you're here to climb, hike, disconnect, or simply breathe...this is where you do it right.
The Space
High above the forest floor, Canopy 7 isn't just a stay, it's an elevated experience. Nestled in the treetops of Red River Gorge, this hideaway blends modern design with rugged adventure, making it the perfect escape for explorers, dreamers, and anyone craving a break from the ordinary.
What You'll Love:
✓ Wall of Windows — Unbeatable views of rolling ridgelines & towering trees. ✓ Hot Tub Under the Stars — Unwind after a day of adventure. ✓ Wraparound Deck — Catch breathtaking sunrises with your morning coffee. ✓ Fire Pit & Hammocks — Because s'mores & naps in the breeze are essential. ✓ Freestyle Exploration — No manicured trails, just raw, untamed nature. ✓ Mid-Century Meets Cozy — A curated blend of modern design & cabin warmth. ✓ Minutes from RRG's Best — World-class climbing, hiking, and legendary eats right outside your door. ✓ Fall Foliage Season — When October hits, RRG turns gold and crimson. Book early — this is the most sought-after season in the gorge.
The Layout:
Main Level — Open & Inviting Step inside to find an airy, open floor plan designed for comfort and connection. A retro-inspired kitchen has everything you need to whip up a feast, while the cozy living area invites you to kick back and enjoy the view. The queen-sized bedroom features a memory foam mattress for the best sleep of your life, and the full bath has a tub and shower combo, perfect for refreshing after a long day in the gorge. There's even a walk-in closet and laundry room for convenience.
Loft — Chill, Sleep, Stretch
A floating staircase leads to the open loft above, a laid-back hideout with two twin beds, plush bean bag chairs, and a dedicated yoga deck complete with mats, blocks, and a foam roller. The best way to start your day? Sun salutations and a sunrise view. (Note: The loft is open-style with a railing rather than a closed-door bedroom — charming, airy, and perfect for the laid-back traveler.)
Lower Level — Cozy Vibes & Entertainment
Rainy day? Lazy morning? This level has you covered with high ceilings, reading nooks, and plenty of room to lounge. Flip through a book from the curated collection, spin some vinyl on the record player, or challenge your crew to a board game showdown. If movies are more your speed, the Amazon Fire TV has all your streaming favorites. A half-bath and sliding doors to the hammock zone make this level a vibe all its own.
Step Outside
Out here, nature steals the show. Sink into the hot tub and let the starlit sky work its magic, or start your morning with coffee on the wraparound deck while watching the forest wake up. Nights by the fire pit with a drink in hand? Non-negotiable.
Experience Every Season
Canopy 7 changes with the land, and every season brings something worth showing up for. 🌿 Spring — The gorge wakes up green. Wildflowers bloom, waterfalls are at their fullest, and the trails are quiet before the crowds arrive. PLUS there are dogwoods around the house that burst into bloom in the spring! ☀️ Summer — Long days, cool shade, and the hot tub under a warm night sky. Peak adventure season. 🍂 Fall — This is the one. October in Red River Gorge is legendary. The ridgelines explode with gold, orange, and crimson — and Canopy 7's wall of windows puts you front-row. Book early. ❄️ Winter — Stripped back, quiet, and raw. The fire pit hits different when there's a chill in the air.
Remote Work-Friendly (If You Must)
Need to check in with reality? Don't worry, high-speed fiber optic WiFi and a dedicated workspace make it easy to balance work and play. Plus, being perched on a ridge, cell service is typically strong.
What You Should Know
✓ Self check-in & checkout — it's your adventure, we won't slow you down. ✓ A locked owner's closet is the only off-limits space. ✓ Ring camera at the entryway — zero view of the hot tub, because privacy matters. ✓ Fast WiFi, great cell service, and a cabin designed for getting off the grid (if you want to). ✓ No pets, no exceptions — we love 'em, but this stay is pet-free. ✓ A damage deposit hold is required to book. ✓ Well-maintained gravel road — easily accessible for any vehicle. ✓ City water supply — clean, safe, and reliable. ✓ Nature note: The property borders wild land with steep terrain and natural features. Stay on stable ground, respect local wildlife, and practice Leave No Trace — pack out what you bring in. ✓ Setting expectations: Canopy 7 sits within a community of like-minded nature retreats. You'll enjoy real privacy — just not total isolation. Think curated escape, not remote wilderness. Neighbors exist; they're just quiet ones.
Guest Access
This treetop retreat is all yours, from the wraparound deck to the hot tub, hammocks, and every cozy nook inside. Stretch out, settle in, and make yourself at home.
The only off-limits spot? A locked owner's closet, because even adventurers need a place to stash their gear. Other than that, roam free, relax hard, and soak in every bit of this one-of-a-kind escape. This is your space. Enjoy it, explore it, and make it unforgettable.
Other Things to Note
Eco-Friendly & Built to Last
Canopy 7 was designed with sustainability in mind, solar-conscious design, thermal mass heating & cooling, and superior insulation. Adventure should feel good, without harming the wild places that make it special.
Unplug, Explore & Leave No Trace
This property is set on 140 private acres of raw, untamed land. Unlike traditional hiking trails, freestyle exploration is encouraged, wander through the trees, stumble upon hidden rock formations, or follow the sound of waterfalls. While adventure is welcome, we ask all guests to respect the land and leave it as they found it.

We LOVED this cabin. It was in pristine condition, the kitchen was well stocked, hot tub was clean and perfect, beds were comfortable. Loved the hammocks, fire pit, deck, grill, literally everything was exactly as described & photographed. It was our favorite place we’ve stayed at the gorge. We hope to return soon!!
Cute and fun cabin that’s about 20 minutes away from all the must see attractions and restaurants! The cabin is made for a family of four with great outdoor space.
Super clean, everything you need, fast customer service! Would come again for sure!

Beautiful clean property and cabin with exceptional host.
Flawless communication before, during, and after the rental.
All sites in Red River Gorge are easily accessible.
We look forward to our next stay!
Absolutely loved this anniversary getaway! Property was beautiful, all amenities and more. So peaceful in the midst of the trees and the hot tub added a nice relaxation after a day of hiking. Recommend 20/10, would definitely stay here again. Close to the Gorge as well, short drive. Best host response’s time we’ve ever had staying with Vrbo!

Wonderful stay!
Our recent stay at this cabin in the Red River Gorge area was absolutely perfect! The cabin itself was beautifully designed, cozy, and had all the amenities we could have asked for. The secluded location provided the perfect balance of peace and privacy, while still being close to the amazing hiking trails and natural wonders that the area is known for. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sitting by the campfire after our family nature walk!
We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the Red River Gorge area – it was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely be back!
We had a delightful stay. Upon entrenance we realized we had to do a little child proofing but everything was great. Me personally though, I’d bring the other blue couch stairs for a little more sitting area, a television in between the kitchen and sitting area and put a queen size bed in the lower level. Also, I’d move the grill by the back door, it was a long walk in the rain, so I cooked everything indoors.

Wooded Wonderland of Fun!
Our family of four took a trip to Canopy 7 and had a blast over the weekend. The location is beautiful and the houses are set up so you always feel like you're in nature. Whether you are sitting around the bonfire, relaxing in the jacuzzi, or inside having breakfast together at the table while looking out the huge windows. In addition to this, we were only 15 to 20 minutes away from a ton of fun stuff to do and a big variety of fantastic restaurants. We enjoyed some great pizza and some of the best barbeque I have ever had! Finally, the guidebook made this place truly stand out. They answered all of our questions before we even left the house through their extremely easy to use virtual guidebook. The suggestions provided were spot on and took the guesswork out of our stay, which we truly appreciated as parents of 2 young children. We are already looking forward to coming back!
This property was amazing! The host provided for so many needs: from 2 different coffee makers to towels by the door for the hot tub.The beds were very comfy and there was even a little yoga area in the loft. Washer and dryer worked great. It was great for a family of 4. Also, its an easy drive to tons of cool trails: natural bridge and Gray's Arch were 2 of our favorites.

Gorgeous and Peaceful
Canopy 7 is a gem. Well-appointed with creature comforts, the house is spacious and we had a truly relaxing time here. The hot tub under the stars is amazing and it was great to lay back in the hammock and look up at the trees. The bed is comfy and we liked the shower pressure. Zero complaints and we hope to be back someday!

Fun and peaceful
Very fun and peaceful. Every detail thought of! Kids LOVED it.
This little canopy (#7) was super adorable, clean and cozy! Being amongst the trees and all the sounds of the forest made it the perfect spot to take deep breaths and slow down from the daily chaos. The little extra bits of fun (hammocks, record player and games) made it even more special. The hot tub was clean with a great temperature making it the perfect way to unwind after a day of strenuous hiking. The host (Liz) was awesome with communication. Overall great stay and we'd love to come back check it out in the fall with the colors.
Very cool spot. Layout and place is well appointed with really great style. We loved the retro look! Hot tub was very nice to have after long hiking days! Our boys loved the loft area and made it their own. The place is larger than it appeared online.Host was extremely responsive and helpful! Excellent experience! Would not hesitate to book again!

The property was perfect for my wife and me. We cooked every meal using the stove top or the grill on the patio. loved the windows for watching the sunrise every morning. We used the hot tub after long hikes in Daniel Boone National Forest. Weather was perfect. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a romantic week or weekend.

We had a fantastic time at the cabin. They provided everything dishes, towels, coffee, laundry detergent, basic seasonings, shampoo, conditioner, body wash all available for your use during you stay at the cabin. The Wi-Fi was strong the hot tub was the star of the show for sure. We are literally thinking of investing in one for ourselves. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable with all the pillows and blankets your heart desires. The air conditioning was on point. Gas grill on the deck was a little small but for the two of us worked fine. Wonderful view to eat at the cute little table in the main area. We would definitely stay again if in the area. On our way home we couldn’t stop talking about what a great time we had and how we will always look for a place with a hot tub from now on.
The property is just as listed. Pictures and description accurate. Everything was very clean inside and outside upon arrival. Great communication for check in. Good location, about 20 mins from Natural Bridge and Skylift. Grab groceries on the way in, there’s not a whole lot close. The cabin is close to other cabins so if you want complete seclusion, keep that in mind. It didn’t bother us because the cabins on each side of us were vacant during our stay. Beds were comfortable, bedding was clean. The stairs leading up to the loft were small and probably not made for younger children. Furniture was stylish but not super comfy. This wasn’t an issue for us though because the weather was nice so we spent a lot of time outside. The hammocks were great for relaxing, the porch great for early morning coffee and reading. We enjoyed the games and record player in the basement. I liked that there were no tv’s in the bedroom, only one in the basement and we hardly used it because the surroundings were so beautiful! The kitchen was clean and has very cute retro looking appliances. Plan for simple meals; there is no oven, only a toaster oven. There is a small stovetop for cooking which worked for quick meals. We cooked on the grill, it doesn’t cook very even but it got the job done. It was stocked with very basic spices but I wish I would’ve brought some of my own. The ones supplied had seized up from moisture and didn’t seem super fresh. The basket of snacks and coffee was nice!
