"What I want most from a hotel is a clean and quiet place to stay. This met both those criteria. And..you could easily walk to the Corning museum! It was interesting to be awaken by the Corning workers time blasts, a remnant of when these sound blasts would tell workers to get up and get going to work. We had a view of the river and the other side of town. A hour out to dining at The Cellar across the river (also walkable from the hotel). "

"The Best Western Plus The Hammondsport Hotel was a fantastic choice for our family of three adults and two kids. We were immediately impressed by how spacious and spotlessly clean our room was, easily accommodating all five of us. As a traveling family, we especially appreciated the thoughtfulness that the sofa bed was already made up when we arrived—a huge win! All the amenities provided were great and contributed to a very comfortable stay. The complimentary breakfast was very nice, offering plenty of variety for both the adults and the children. Most importantly, the hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. Overall, this was an excellent purchase and we highly recommend it, especially for families!"

"I love the stuff at this property. They were welcoming and quick check-in. They did not have any rooms available for early check-in, but that wasn’t a big issue. I would just say for the outside it might need some weeding and the trashcan in the back was in a need of empty."

"Great value, indeed! Bed was comfortable, room was clean and surprinsingly large, staff extremely helpful, cheerful, and genuinely interested in clients. Breakfast was also a nice bonus, and they serve coffee beyond that, until noon The property is a bit dated, but it has quite a bit of character, the price can't be beat. A good experience overall, will be back when in the area. "

"The hotel was clean, staff were very nice, breakfast was good. The king one bedroom bed was very firm and the mattress on the sofa sleeper could use up grading. The pool was cold so didn’t use it but enjoyed the hot tub. "
