"The hotel was not clean...our room had used toilet paper..no clean toilet brush..there was fluff and hair blowing around in the corridor...communication with the one man who seemed to be working there was met with a shrug of the shoulders. Como puntos negativos: hay recepción de 8.00 a 17.00, no hay cafetería - restaurante abierto, por lo que sí quieres comer o beber algo te tienes que desplazar en coche, por las puertas de la terraza entra aire, ahora estamos en verano pero en invierno no tiene que ser nada agradable. "We loved everything about this hotel. It felt perfectly Spanish. The building is ancient, and the hotel is so charming... the walls are old stone; the floors are beautifully preserved antique wood. The curtains are hand-made linen. But the beds are great, the sheets are crisp and soft; the towels are snowy and huge; the pillows are soft and plentiful. The room was way nicer than the low price deserved. The courtyard is gorgeous, and breakfast is in a great little cafe."

"The stay was wonderfull in a calm area. Good pool and super room with a good firm bed.
We had the menu in the restaurant Nube and a red wine from Valbusenda winery, Vivo 2011. Very good.
It was a good experience. The only thing was that we after the dinner asked for a wine from the winecard but not the house and they did not have it. We asked for 4 different wines on their winecard and they did not have them. The parking was free and in the cellar and when leaving we got cold water for our trip."

"As the name implies, set in Douro valley with great view of the river below. We used as a rest stop, with no touring. Beautiful location with nice sunrise and sunsets. Nice room, but steps to and from meals and pool. Best be fit to enjoy the area."

"This was the most memorable and beautiful lodging of our entire 3 wk Portugal stay! The Quinta is beautiful in every way and the staff could not be more accommodating. The view of the Duoro Valley and river is magnificent, pictures don’t do it justice. there is a stunning infinity pool and breathtaking views everywhere! The rooms are small but stylish and lovely with outdoor seating. Great Restaurant , wine tasting and boat tour (for extra charges) Don’t hesitate to book this stay. We hope to return someday. "

"We enjoyed this hotel. We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the Douro River. Dinner in the luxury dining room was excellent but expensive. Bar food was good and reasonably priced. The pool was nice. We enjoyed the town with winery visits and boat trips. The only really odd thing was that the bottom of the shower door does not come to the floor and water flooded the bathroom floor. This happened to our friends also, so it was not just our room. You learn to stand in one small spot to wash. Odd, I would say. "
