Clean room but without house keeping throughout my one week's stay. Breakfast was fantastic and varied. Property was very clean though busy with loads and loads of guests. Amanda was very helpful to me. Location was a few minutes walk to the tram going to Christ the Redeemer Statue. Local transport bus station was also nearby. Overall great value for money. Kudos to the staff.

The building itself is a very interesting piece of historic architecture that has been modernized to house this hotel/hostel-complex. I especially loved the breakfast buffet, close to the pool area which invites you to chill during the day but you can also get some remote-work done in the quiet areas with excellent wifi. Last nut not least, the staff is very welcoming and helpful! It's been an absolute pleasure! Muito obrigado!

Love the place, don’t love the lack of cleaning

I extended my stay because I really like the breakfast and the location is beautiful. But maintenance and cleaning is bad. We need to go to the reception to ask if someone can empty the toilet bins or for new toilet paper. They didn't properly clean the room since at least Tuesday. One of the locks of the shower is broken so people smash the door to close it, which is quit annoying when you’re trying to sleep or still asleep. But the shower with a functioning lock has low water pressure due of the built up chalk in the shower head. So.. The airconditioning is not clean so I've caught a cold (nasal congestion and a sore throat) after the first night. Really wished there was a possibility to open a window with all the deodrant and other spray products my roommates use.

No TV in the room, no glasses (we had to beg for them in the hotel’s restaurant), no windows in the room (only on the entrance door), no mats on the concreted floor, no room cleaning service till you ask for it. The check in process was very slow. There is a lot of staff around, but they are not really efficient. The property is in need of renovation for sure.

This is a beautiful restored hostel, but as the same with hostel average cleanliness is not a priority even if you are in a private room. Specialy my room had a vintage door not sealing the frame, allowing all kind of mosquitoes get in to the room, not a pleasant night!

O quarto (privativo) tinha bastante areia (inclusive nas camas) e não ficou claro quando/se ocorriam limpezas durante a minha estadia. Os preços praticados pelo hotel em itens de conveniência são bastante elevados (um energético na praia é mais barato que no Jo&Joe). Não há um local adequado para trabalhar, caso você precise (os espaços permitem uma boa conectividade, mas não são silenciosos o suficiente, caso você esteja na cidade exclusivamente para trabalho). Os quartos não possuem um frigobar (o que dificulta quando você precisa manter medicação refrigerada).

Achei quase tudo impecável, porem a Internet no quarto 78 era impraticável. Também achei que o quarto privado poderia ter tido um pouco mais de conforto, sobretudo uma mesinha para decorar os pertences pois ficaram quase todos no chão (éramos duas pessoas). Fora isso foi tudo maravilhoso!
