We specifically booked this hotel because we would have five days in Rio de Janeiro and knew that we would be spending some downtime at the hotel and it was one with the pool. First day we got there. The pool was operational so we had planned to swim the next day after we went to Christ the redeemer. We get back in the pool has no water in it and they said they had to do emergency repairs and that it would be open the next day. The pool didn’t open the rest of the five days that we were at the hotel and it was just a very big letdown. We wish that we would’ve talked to them about putting us in a different hotel with a pool after the first day, but we are promised that it would be open the next day. Then on the third day of the trip, one of the two elevators broke and we were left with one elevator between 11 floors. The wait time was horrible. Other than these complaints, the staff was great. The breakfast was great and the room was great.

Internet was a bit spotty for me but worked well for my sister. We noticed a mini bar can of soda had exploded and we mentioned in on checkout and they got upset we hadn’t immediately notified them. Otherwise enjoyed our stay as it is centrally located and the area felt pretty safe.

Terribly uncomfortable, dirty, run-down old hotel

The entire hotel is a rundown old wreck. Looks like the furniture is from the 1960's and is heavily damaged, scratched. Floors and lobby looked dirty and heavily used. Two elevators aren't enough. People line up for ages especially during the early- and late hours. Frequent electronic noise, buzzes coming from various places (not just the room equipment) occur especially during late hours. Sometimes the door lock doesn't open and you have to travel between the reception and your room to get a new access card. There's not enough staff and too little space in this hotel. Crowds barely had space to stand around the reception and the breakfast room would get flooded every morning. Breakfast is above basic, but some foods run out fast (due to the crowds). It can also be hard to get a table. It took 1 hour for the receptionist to check me in, although most people were just chatting to the receptionists or just standing there at the desk. There was a weird old blocked wooden door in my room. Probably the neighbors had the same on their side. I could hear every itch and scratch, let alone loud talking from the other side. Very noisy hotel. Not enough soap. Sometimes they just don't replace the tiny hotel soap. Poor internet connection. It just stops working for like 12 hours or longer. Speed is sluggish. The only acceptable things about this hotel are: location - quite close to the Copacabana and some shops are nearby, receptionists are friendly and kind, cheap price!

Stanze nella norma , più che un 3 stelle sarebbe da classificare 2 stelle e mezzo o 2. Nella stanza della mia compagna di viaggio il servizio di pulizia è stato decisamente scadente, mentre nella mia non ho avuto problemi. Personale alla reception cortese, ma troppo interessato a suggerire ristoranti dove andare a mangiare. Ottima l' ubicazione vicino alla spiaggia di Copacabana e la prima colazione.

Kanske att de andra rummen som inte ligger högst upp är bättre. Rummet i sig var väldigt fint och stort. Men det var mögel i hörnen vid fönstret. Står att det ska vara ljudisolerat men vi hörde allt som lät från poolen och gymmet. Vill du sova, bo inte i sviten, lät som de körde centrifugering på tvätten hela natten. Gissar att det var någon motor på taket. Fruktansvärt, och inte mer än ett sorry när man sa till. De flesta i personalen var jättetrevliga! Det var ett plus. Lätt att boka utflykter. Bra område, stranden var inte allt för långt bort.
