I booked a double single bed and they put me in a bedroom just beside the kitchen area with two beds. The air conditioner was noisy and water from taps was leaking. Next day I changed the room to 9th floor with very poor internet connection and another noisy air conditioner… I kept this room anyways.

The check in person was very rude; towels and linens were very dirty looking without the sterilized bags; blankets smelled sweat; the floors was dirty with sand; other tenants were not following covid-19 safety guidelines at breakfast area nor was the staff reinforcing the rules.

The staff at the desk were very helpful. The porter was extremely helpful and informative. The room was very clean and the en suite was really stylish and clean. The shower cubicle is huge and tiled throughout, like the rest of the bathroom.

Nice and fairly priced hotel in the heart of Lapa
Great hotel but in a bit special neighbourhood. Center and major connections (tram, metro, busses) in walking distance. Might become noisy outside during holiday.

Lousy Staff
The staff was really rude and not friendly. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Although they were gouging everyone with 3 times the hotel room rates, coz of FIFA.. the attitude was just bad. bunch of idiots !

The worst experience of my life!
I was sold this hotel by Expedia as a Three Star Hotel, and this is not even a hotel is almost a hostel. The staff is very unwelcoming, and unfriendly. The surrounding areas are the worst in town, and the picture that expedia shows of the hotel, must have been from the 1950s, since the hotel doesn't look anything like that, and it is surrounded by hotels that rent by the hour, and at night all the street walkers in town are around that corner.

Pouso Real in Rtio de Janeiro, Brazil
Not quite up to U.S. standards, but eclectic for the adverturous. Thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood (a bit lively after dark), location near attractions and entertainment, etc. Because it is in the old section, the neighborhood looks a bit run down, but don't let that detract from the ambiance. Very helpful and freindly staff. We would recommend this hotel to most of the folks we know.

Foi a 3° vez que me hospedei nesse hotel e só voltei porque nas duas primeiras ficamos em quartos excelentes, porem, dessa vez nos colocaram em quarto horrivel 405 pra ser exato, ar condicionado estava péssimo, quarto muito pequeno, enfim, sempre vou ao Rio mais nesse hotel não fico mais

Limpeza questionável, roupa de cama muito velha, lençóis quase transparentes de tão velhos. O quarto virado para a Mem de Sá ficou um barulho insuportável de boite a noite toda, não consegui dormir.

É a segunda vez que fico nesse hotel, a localização é boa e o atendimento também é bom. O estilo é antigo, como quase todos os hotéis no centro do Rio, mas eu não ficarei novamente por conta de 1 problema. Não há conforto acústico nenhum no quarto. Fiquei de frente para uma rua muito movimentada e tive uma péssima noite de sono. Só consegui dormir um pouco com plug de ouvido !!!!
