"Enjoyed my short break here. The bar area is smart and welcoming and the staff friendly. Excellent breakfast provision as well. The actual bedrooms are old-school but decent enough and clean. The pool is fine but check if there's any planned classes with front desk first. In a quiet area but not too far from town/Winter Gardens. Would return for my next Bournemouth break."

"We loved this hotel, the staff were so excellent, very helpful and friendly, they really couldn’t do enough for you! We had dinner here and I must say it’s probably the best meal I’ve had In ages! The hotel was very comfortable and cosy and the decor is delightful, there’s lots of little extras which add to how well thought out the hotel is, eg. Dog and boot cleaning area, treats, a selection of games. Our room was huge and the coordination of soft furnishings make the room feel expensive and very well decorated, it was clean, and the bathroom looked newly decorated, it’s a pet friendly hotel the room did smell a big doggie but we wasn’t too bothered, it was clean, The setting in the new forest in Autumn was stunning the walk into town was so pretty and we saw lots of ponies and pigs , we walked to Burley town in 10 mins and enjoyed a horse and cart ride. This hotel has a fantastic team and whoever runs it has style and great attention to detail!! We felt so welcomed thank you"

"Amazing hotel with a fun history. It has seen better days of course, some areas a bit cold or looking old. But it is a very impressive building, and I was delighted with my stay. The garden and the terrace at the back are great and when you go up to the terrace it's a nice view to the sea. It's a good location, and right beside the Russel Coates Museum which is definitely worth a look."
