Piilopirtti - a traditional Finnish log cabin

Welcome to Piilopirtti - an authentic log cabin stay so you can reconnect, explore, and recharge the Nordic way.
Meaning "hidden cabin" in Finnish, Piilopirtti is tucked beneath a living grass roof among the seasonally blooming rhododendrons. Designed for couples, this traditional Finnish cabin has an open-plan living and sleeping area with a super king-size bed (standard double duvet), alongside a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. WE make up a double duvet per default. We can provide 2 single duvets on request / before arrival.

Recharge the Nordic way:
- Relax in your private wood-fired hot tub* (sized for 2 people)
- Enjoy an earthy, wood-fired Finnish sauna*
- Refresh in the cold plunge pool (shared but is private when booking sauna)
- Sip coffee in the morning light on the veranda, surrounded by nature
- Fire up the BBQ (charcoal can be purchased directly from us) for an evening under the stars
- Sit around the fire pit (firewood can be purchased directly from us)
*Bookable for a fee, directly with us.
Please note: If we have minus degrees and our hose pipes are frozen, we might not be able to fill/clean our hot tubs and any money paid will be refunded. Same is the case for any other circumstances that are out of our control ( for example hose pipe bans).

Explore on your doorstep:
- Access to Ringwood Forest directly out the garden gate. Perfect for dog walkers and outdoor lovers.
- Walkable distance to Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, which has a wide range of outdoor activities and trails. Perfect for families with children.
- 10min drive to the New Forest National Park.
- 15-20min drive to award-winning beaches.
- Walkable distance to Ringwood, the local town (2-4min drive to a food shop).

Please note that the cabin itself is not fully fenced in.
Our cabin is a self-catering cabin. we provide some instant coffee, tea bags, sugar and toilet paper to get you started.
