"This was truly an awful experience because the listing was nothing like what we actually encountered. The house was not clean, and we even found rat droppings underneath one of the beds. Within the first five minutes of arriving, we flushed the toilet and water immediately started leaking out from underneath the toilet bowl. There was also a very strong unpleasant smell throughout the house.The kitchen was well stocked, which was one of the few positives, but overall the condition of the home was very disappointing. One of the showerheads barely had enough water pressure, so with a party of five people, we were essentially forced to share one usable shower.The house is also very old, and the ceilings are extremely low in certain areas — my husband actually hit his head on the ceiling. In addition, you have to constantly go up and down steps in the middle of the house anytime you want to get to the kitchen or restroom, which was very inconvenient. Overall, the property did not match the expectations set by the listing, and we would not stay here again."

"We had an amazing, relaxing stay and would absolutely come back! We loved using the fire pit, grill, and hot tub. The location was great too; we ate at El Molcajete and did a tasting at Valley Mills Vineyards, both just a few minutes away and definitely worth visiting. Any questions I had before and during our stay were answered very promptly.The hosts are very upfront in the listing about the nearby train. It is loud and passes often, but the sound machine they provided worked great and we had no issues sleeping. Honestly, the very determined cardinal attacking the windows throughout the day startled us more than the train did Since the property is more wooded, we did see some bugs, which was expected, but the hosts had bug spray readily available and clearly stay on top of it. The kitchen and bathroom areas are on the smaller side, but were the perfect size for the two of us. Overall, a wonderful little getaway!"

"I enjoyed a clean room and an overall clean facility. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, though I have to point out how confusing and rude it is to be on a phone call while attending to a customer right in front of you at check-in. I did appreciate that after check-in, staff helped me obtain an ironing board. "

"The overall check in process was fine however having booked through “hotels.com” I did not realize this was going to a motel. The room and property itself were in decent condition. Unfortunately, when we pulled back the blanket on the bed the sheets had yellow stains in the middle of the bed. Due to the condition of the linens and not wanting to waste money buy booking another place last minute, we chose to sleep in our clothes for the night. The next morning I went to shower and discovered while drying off that there were similar yellow stains on the towel. The guy at check in was nice, the place was decent, but the cleanliness was not good. In my opinion, if you can’t get stains out of towels or sheets then you don’t continue to put them in the room."
