Clean and tidy room with spacious bathroom. Meals were excellent. Chefs are first class and every meal cooked to perfection. Quality food. A hearty breakfast provided a great start to our days. "I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. "Can't say enough good about Double Tree by Hilton Newcastle. It is a 5 minute walk from the airport, to the Metro, and bus stops. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful - check in was a breeze :) The restaurant was excellent, had the best supper of our 3 week trip (braised beef). Alice, our server, was the best and we let her know how pleased we were. The room was spacious, lots of towels, comfy bed, and the heating/air conditioning unit worked great. We would highly recommend this hotel and if we travel to Newcastle again we will definitely stay at the Double Tree by Hilton"
