"Overall we had a great stay at the Estalagem do Mar. The staff was very friendly and helpful with last minute accommodations and present to help with any other needs. It was a 3 minute walk away from a little downtown area with restaurants, a convenience store, gift shop, and little stands that are open on the weekends. Would stay here again if we visit Madeira island again! Free parking on the facility was also a huge plus for us! "

"Good value hotel with a reliable bus service to Funchal only 5min walk away which I used on multiple occasions. It’s very good value compared to taxis. "Hotel is situated on a shore of the ocean, so through bedroom windows and balcony we saw only ocean, waves and had magnificent view. Food was excellent in the restaurant, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was spotles. Highly recommended to everyone!!!!"

"I couldn’t recommend Zarco B&B enough! I stayed for a solo trip and it was perfect. The location is amazing - right on the marina waterfront in close proximity to shops, bars, restaurants - and taxis/tours are very happy to pick you up right outside. I felt very safe at all times and the 24 hour reception really helped with this (you can come and go as you please at any time). The rooms were clean and comfortable (with regular cleans during my 4-night stay). The staff were all so friendly; I needed some assistance with my room at one point and maintenance sorted it straight away. The gentleman on reception sent me off with a parcel of cakes as I was leaving before breakfast for my hike! The breakfast spread was a highlight - lots of choice and replenished well. I often woke to the smell of fresh bread! There are water dispensers for filling bottles and coffee machines too. Will definitely be back :)"
