Awesome Cabin

This is an amazing cabin. Wonderful secluded location, beautiful outdoor fireplace, well stocked kitchen. It was perfect for our weekend getaway.

Family Summer Vacation to Mt Hood

We had an amazing stay at Big Buck Lodge! The home and location was ideal for our family.. the home was welcoming and cozy; the property was serene and the ease of location to the many of Mt Hoods trails, restaurants, shopping, etc! We hope to return to Big Buck Lodge during the winter months!

Winter Wonderland

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Buck Lodge. This is the prefect place for a weekend getaway where you have plenty of space on a beautfiul property. The house was clean and the accomodations were nice making the weekend very enjoyable. I would recommend a stay here for a ski weekend or in the summer a place to get out and explore Mt. Hood which is right in your backyard.It seems like there is so much to do in this area and it is nice to have a lodge like this as your homebase surrounded by the mountains, nearby river and woods. Also, very quiet area so a great place to getaway and relax. We will definitely be heading back the next time we are looking for a long weekend stay in this area.

Reviewer Comments: The property is pure perfection (especially if you aren't worried about sending and receiving calls, or watching non-stop television - this is a little weak, but due in no part to the amazing property... it's purely location). We contemplated how we could stay forever. The views and silence are peaceful and breath taking. The crew at the rental agency was fantastic.

My wife and I had an incredible time at the Big Buck Lodge. The house is beautiful and the property it's on is gorgeous. The house was clean and stocked with most of the essentials. Being close to the Sandy river with pretty trails through the forest made the spot even better than we could have imagined. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. While I'm giving the house and our stay a five star review, here are the only things we didn’t like: - There was no foil, but there was parchment paper? - There was no olive oil, spray-oil, butter, or other common cooking staples - The plastic wrap was so cheap it melted in the microwave (possibly due to the issue I mention below) - The plates are cheap and are thick ceramic that heat to extreme temperatures in the microwave while your food remains luke-warm - The pans were small and in awful shape, and the knives were dull - There was no clear instruction for how to properly use the dishwasher or washing mashine, but the checkout instructions ask you to load and run both - The ping pong table needs to be replaced - Overall the house-specfic details and instructions were lacking in the guest book If we come back again, we'd bring more of our own essentials to have an absolutely perfect stay.

Everything was wonderful! What a lovely home. The house was clean, cozy, and perfect for our stay. We loved the outdoor fireplace and hot tub. The kitchen was well-equipped to cook meals. Our toddler loved the books and upstairs play space. We had an amazing time.

Peaceful Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a beautiful setting! The view out the main windows and off the back deck are incredible! The hot tub was a great addition. There is also a hiking trail in the back yard that can lead you to the river within a short walking distance. There were a few cons: -the house was very dark with very dim light bulbs-it looked like the landscaping around the whole house hasn't been touched in a VERY long time. We had to knock down weeds to enjoy the back patio. -there are a few chairs under the covered, outdoor fireplace area but not any other furniture outside. That's where we wanted to be! -the ping pong table should be thrown away. It looks like someone landed on it

It is a very spacious lodge, decorated perfectly, and felt very cozy and inviting. The backyard view was amazing and fun to wake up to each morning. The kitchen was a dream and had everything you could ask for. The outdoor covered fire area, hot tub and garage games were added bonuses. A beautiful Christmas tree greeted us upon our arrival. We highly recommend this property!!

Luxury in Mt Hood

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had the best experience at Big Buck Cabin! It was the 4 of us but we hosted family for a dinner. The cabin accommodated 18 people for dinner easily! We had everything we needed. We stopped at the Walmart near the Portland airport and did curbside then headed to the cabin. We only ate out twice at the Zig Zag Inn for an awesome Breakfast and Timberlane Lodge for dinner. All other meals were super easy at the cabin. There are so many activities to keep everyone from 1yr to 99 yrs busy! We loved the trail down to the river and the kids loved playing on the swing set. The hot tub under the stars was breath taking and perfect after skiing Mt Hood. The view out of the living roomEvery morning with the sun rise is something we will always remember. One evening the power went out (even surrounding homes nearby) and the cabin had a generator! We felt that was such an awesome luxury to have in the mountains if the power goes out! Made us feel like we were in good hands. Thank you for making our family holiday so perfect. Thank you for allowing us to stay in such an awesome place!
