Solo female traveler review:
Absolutely loved my stay here. Ample breakfast, a hearty cold continental. Fresh baked breads, croissants, small pastries. Icelandic butter. Sliced ham, cheese. Skyr, granola, dried fruits. Fruits, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes. Coffee, tea, juices. Good for vegetarians. Standard Icelandic breakfast fare. Early breakfast options in Reykjavik are slim, so booking a place that does early breakfast is essential for me.
Extremely walkable area in 105, less than 10 minutes up to Hallgrimskirkja and less to Sundhollin, a great local pool. Highly recommend stopping at this pool and checking out the very hot roof top tubs. Hlemmur Matholl (a food hall with multiple vendors) is also not far. Buses run through Snorrisbraut and there were also many electric scooters available to grab.
Room was clean and warm. Kettle, coffee maker with pods, small fridge, hair dryer and diffuser. Icelandic plugs available to borrow. On the smaller side but this is just how rooms are throughout Iceland. Shared bathroom was spotless. Didn't use the shower as I showered at the pools each day. Bed comfortable, sufficiently thick duvet and multiple pillows. Robes, towels, washcloth, and hand towel provided. Tip: Bring the towel if you go to the pool. Obviously, bring it back. Pools charge a few dollars for a rental.
This is a great area to stay, I am a regular visitor to Iceland so this is my perspective from my experience and previous knowledge of Reykjavik.
