Perfect for a quick stop

This is perfect for one night or a couple nights. Was clean, had everything we needed. Didn’t see any staff but we had excellent instructions so was no problem. The room itself is quite small but was perfect for one night. Would absolutely stay here again

We had a little trouble with check in because we booked through Expedia but we were able to get it sorted. Everything else is great. Perfect little home-base for our Reykjavík visit. Highly recommend. Bathroom is very clean, very walkable to downtown.

The Guesthouse is located in a very central part of town next to a lovely Church and up the street to harbor and all the nice walking areas. The kitchen is nicely organized and comes with everything to create nice home made meals. There are three shared bathrooms that are also pleasantly shared with considerate guests. The staff is helpful and good communicators. We stayed twice before and after our long road trip and enjoyed returning just as much.

This is a great spot to stay, great location to sights, easy free street parking. There is a very cute kitchen for use, shared bathroom is clean and easy to use. There is a washer/dryer available if you need it. The room is very comfortable and has its own sink and coffee/tea setup. The doors are a bit creaky which makes you feel bad to go to the bathroom in the night, haha, and there is a playground outside the window and kids play until 1030pm in the summer! Bring sleep mask if coming in the summer! :) Would definitely stay again!

Quirky but cozy house. We had room 10, which was the entire top floor, basically an attic with a pitched ceiling. There is a door to a stairway leading to the attic. The threshold was somewhat annoying as the bottom step is not very deep and has a strip of wood that has to be tiptoed over or uncomfortably stepped upon. The room had 2 couches; 2 club chairs; a table with 2 folding chairs; and a kitchenette with a sink, mini fridge, electric kettle, and French press. Tea bags and ground coffee were provided. Plenty of electric outlets. Overall, it was pleasant and spacious, but I would not recommend it for very tall people with big feet.

Good: Great location, in the city centre. Efficient entry system (keys in lock boxes). Tea and coffee in room. Shared kitchen is great and shower rooms were clean. Property was very warm throughout. Email from owner the night before our stay was informative and provided all necessary information. Not so good: The ceiling and walls of our room were very thin and did not absorb sound well, meaning we were kept up because of scrapes/bangs, people opening doors etc. I know it's not easy to fix but it affected our stay as we simply did not sleep well (and we are heavy sleepers!). I sent a message to the guesthouse owners, who said that they contacted the people in the room above - unfortunately, it only stopped the noise for one night. On a side note, we stayed a week and the room was not serviced at all (it states in the listing that rooms are serviced once per stay). I did ask for some fresh towels midweek and they were delivered the next day.
