A great property for a family of four, especially if you have older teenagers as there are separate bedrooms for the kids and a cosy front room with TV. The grocery shop across the road is really great with friendly staff.
Bridget’s cottage was perfect for our needs. Ideally positioned with a shop just opposite stocking a wide range of delicious food and other essentials and just a few minutes drive from the centre of Southwold. The cottage was very clean and welcoming and we very much enjoyed our stay.
Just what we wanted. Perfect little cosy cottage within walking distance of Southwold. We had everything we needed . Comfy beds and we loved the little log burner . Would definitely book again .
The property was just a described, great location for Southwold town and beach. The little store opposite had everything we needed.
We would stay again!
Was a lovely little cottage, location was perfect walking distance from town centre and beachfront. The cottage was the perfect size for our family of 5. Would definately stay again
Lovely cottage in a great location. Well equipped for a family. Short walk through the fields or via Southwold to the beach. Area is lovely and local shop, although pricey, has all your emergency needs and lots of tasty treats. Hosts were great and very accommodating.
A very cute cottage, well presented and clean.Stairs were steep for a long walk to downstairs toilet. Main bedroom mattress uncomfortable. Not withstanding this the cottage is very nice and warm the welcome pack was a nice touch.A good enjoyable experience
Ideal base to explore Southwold and surrounding area.
Property in village next to Southwold but within walking distance to beach and pubs and cafes. Village shop across the street which had good selection of groceries. Would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay here thanks. The house was great - very clean, spacious kitchen/dining room, comfortable sofas and great location.
I don't the advert makes it clear that one of the bedrooms is off another, so you have to walk through it during the night to use the toilet.
This little cottage is ideally located opposite a well stocked local shop and close to coast path walks which is particularly handy if you have a dog. It is well equipped and is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. Highly recommended.
We had a very relaxing stay for a few days; the cottage is in a great quiet location short walk from Southwold high st.
Cottage has comfy beds, it was cosy, clean, had everything we needed and more.
Thanks to the owners who answered any questions promptly. Highly recommended!!
Lovely house in great location to explore Southwold (short walk to pier) and surrounding area. Comfy beds with one bedroom (kids room with bunk beds) off master bedroom. House and furniture are beginning to look a bit tired and obvious that previous holiday makers have brought dogs but we had a lovely stay.
Had a lovely stay at the cottage which had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean, comfy bed and lovely hot shower. 15 min walk to Southwold town and beach. Handy shop nearby. Limited parking outside property.
Just spent three days in Reydon and had a lovely time. The property is in a great position, quiet but not far from the middle of Southwold. It is clean and comfortable and pefectly suited our requirements for the stay. Only small quibble would be the lack of an upstairs bathroom but that is more than reflected in the price. Highly recommended.
the cottage is ideally situated being only a 15-20 minute walk into the centre of Southwold and it's beaches
The cottage itself is very comfortable with a lovely corner shop on the opposite side of the rd, which provides a surprisingly good range of goods
Everything you need for a holiday in Southwold. A lot of thought has gone into making it a relaxing and comfortable holiday venue. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Very conveniently located for Southwold and wider Suffolk area.
The shop across the road is highly recommended. It stocks many good quality, eco friendly and organic goods, including a fantastic selection of fruit and vegetables plus fill-your-own-bottle detergents and shampoos etc.
Had a very enjoyable holiday.
A quaint and beautifully decorated 3 bed property within easy walking distance to Southwold beach and Pier.
The owners have given great thought and attention to what holidays mean to folk's and have done everything to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Books, games and beach equipment to suit all ages. A truely lovely cottage.
Our only concern was the air conditioning unit at the supermarket opposite and the constant hum you could hear from the front bedroom. Thankfully, this disappeared from around 7pm each evening, giving way to a perfect nights sleep.
Very good cottage in excellent location. Safe and with a homely feel. Layout is excellent and all the information is clear. Lock up and leave with no concerns regarding security. Lots to see and do. Would recommend Walberswick, and a day at Bundle Broad and Claremont Pier - especially of you have kids. Southwold is very pleasant and has charm. It is expensive, but the Tesco and Co-op charge 'normal' prices. The cottage's sleeping and cooking facilities are very good. Faultless really, bar an internal bolt on the back gate ..but that's being really picky. Hope you enjoy it!

Cottage is in a perfect location, quiet & short walk to town, pet friendly. All you need is there; it’s cozy & bright. The corner shop is SENSATIONAL, with wide range of products, with a refill station for plastic free, more natural soap, washing up liquid etc. Notably, cottage could use a deep clean and a general update in terms of lick of paint, replacing faded/stained cushion covers & lampshades. Some artwork was faded and could use a refresh. There were cobwebs and spiders in few places, and the floor was genuinely black when I used paper towel to wipe it. Remotes & light switches also needed a clean. One of bed duvet covers had stains and the inside of window frames really could use a clean as they were black with dirt. We were surprised by the request to strip the beds used and take the rubbish out, before leaving. Especially after paying approx. 80 cleaning fee. This info is not shown on online, only the house book. A few small touches, like providing shower gel ( there was none) & upgrading soaps and washing up liquid to a natural, artisan and locally made products, would elevate the experience.
Sweet little 2 bed cottage in Reydon which is about a 15 -20 minute walk into Southwold. The cottage is nicely appointed, and the beds were super comfortable and bedding and towels provided. A small carton of milk and some basic staples (tea bags, biscuits) were also provided along with some useful things like dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls and kitchen towel. The log burner was an enjoyable edition and the shower extremely effective. The bathroom is downstairs which could be a problem for those less able and the stair case is very steep indeed so again worth bearing in mind if you are less able. We loved Southwold and look forward to visiting again. Do bear in mind that, even in March, it is very busy. We hadn’t booked a restaurant in advance as we thought we would have a mooch and book Saturday lunchtime for that evening but they were all fully booked! Interestingly for such a chic place there are only 2 decent restaurants to choose from, the rest being pubs. Also bear in mind if you go in winter or have walking restrictions, you cannot get a taxi easily. We had thought to go out for dinner and get a taxi back and were told in no uncertain terms that this was unlikely to be possible by both the Swan Hotel and Adnams Brewery. Apparently they all come from Lowestoft so there isn’t a taxi service in town. Just bear that in mind if you don’t fancy the walk at night.
