Fantastic dog-friendly property
We had a fantastic long weekend relaxing in this lovely, new clean house with a wonderful aspect and lots of space to keep the dogs exercised. The property is easy to find and the hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and kind. We have family in Wauchope so we’ll definitely be returning to stay again - just wish we could fly-in!

The Hideout is a wonderful place to relax and unwind! A great setting for kids and our puppy to have run free. The property is fantastic and the setting is just perfect. Would thoroughly recommend the experience of staying here.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Our dog Buster especially loved it as he was able to roam free on the property with few limitations. Well done to Port Macquarie for having DOG FRIENDLY beaches. Something the Northern Beaches of Sydney could do better 🐶

Great house for a mini break!
The Hideout is a great place to stay with family, kids and pet. We stayed 4 nights and loved it. The house was really clean and had everything we needed. Waking up and going straight to the swimming pool was the best part of the day. We had some beautiful weather and took full advantage of the balcony for dinners and grassy area for the kiddie and dog. Thanks Sue for a great stay, we will be back!

Perfect getaway on the mid north coast
We had the most perfect time at Sue’s property. The place itself is amazing and we loved the pool and seeing the kangaroos out the back every morning and dusk. We were only 20 minutes from Port Macquarie so it was easy to access beaches and restaurants, but it was so lovely to be able to escape to our own place away from the crowds at the end of the day. Highly recommended, we can’t wait to go back.

Very clean + neat, spacious 2 bedroom home, relaxing views of farmland, easy walk to river, kangaroos, and birdlife about. No problems during our stay, host was warm, obliging and unobtrusive. Loved the warm lap pool. Would love to go back again.

Idealic country retreat
We absolutely loved our stay at Sue and Clyde's lovely country house! This is a five-star accommodation located in the beautiful countryside with great views. The place was comfortable, clean, well equipped, quiet and private. We absolutely loved the bed mattress, and it was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! The undercover deck offers great views, perfect for watching the wildlife and the large garden was ideal for our doggie. We also enjoyed our walks to the Caswell Channel, which is a quick walk to the bottom of the property. Sue and Clyde were great hosts, and we highly recommend their place!

Quiet solitude!
Allowed us to recharge ..the quiet hum of nature replacing the traffic noise and the stillness of time so good for body, mind & soul!! Using this getaway as a base we explored the surrounding country destinations with Port Macquarie so close too. The amenities, easy access shower and King bed made for a very comfortable stay!

Lovely place to rewind
The house is lovely and clean, with a full kitchen and some little "luxuries" like coffee machine and Sukin products... Huge garden for the dog to explore, as well, and a lovely deck to enjoy a sun downer. Unfortunately this time we were unlucky with the weather (nothing but rain, so the garden was quite muddy), but there were still enough things to do in Port Mcquarie😉

What a spot to wake up
Everything about this booking was so easy - getting the information we needed to arrive, check in and being in the space. Waking up to so many birds in such a lovely spot was exactly what we needed. If you are looking for an escape that is super easy for a weekend highly recommend The Hideout.

This was a lovely place to stay. Peaceful, beautiful sunrises the house is well positioned to maximise the view. Great range of bird life. My brother who flys will be a visitor in the future, he dropped in and loved it too.

The hideout was the perfect place for us to access Wauchope to see our sick relative. It was only a short drive to his house which made our visit much less stressful. It was also good that we could take my daughter’s little dog. Thanks Sue.

Beautiful property in a peaceful, pastoral area
The property was very comfortable and clean. Sue was very welcoming, and helpful. We enjoyed swimming, dining on the deck and relaxing in the beautiful neighborhood of Port Macquire. Tranquil, peaceful, beautiful and perfect getaway!
The "Hideaway" is the perfect spot to get away from the rush of everyday demands. We decided to take a 3 nights breakaway with the kiddies and this was the perfect place! The kids had ample space to run, play, ride their bikes, and even braved it up to have a swim in the middle of winter. My son and I had a go at fishing in the Caswell Channel, which is simply a quick walk to the bottom of the property. The location is great, only 14 minutes away from the Billabong Zoo, Strawberry farm and Port Macquarie. We had so much fun doing the "Hello Koala" sculpture trial, where you drive around the area finding different painted sculptured Koala's. Horse riding is just around the corner and so much more to explore and do. Sue and Clyde were tremendous hosts and we would highly recommend the "Hideout" to anyone who is looking to relax in the beautiful tranquility of nature. Eugene, Erin, Janabella, Lacey and Reuben

Stylish and spacious comfort
The Hideout is a stylish spacious detached property, easy to find, very quiet area, accessible to amenities yet away from it all, no traffic noise, with plenty of room inside and out. Rooms you can close off brilliant country surroundings and plenty of comforts. Hosts are warm and generous and gave us local tips. Lovely breeze through if you want to open up and fully sheltered if you want to bunker down. Grounds are well kept. Kitchen well equipt. Definitely recommend.

Relaxing retreat
It was perfect! Had all the mod cons you might want or need, but surrounded by just nature, so relaxing! Sue and Clyde are lovely people, but I didnt see much of them as they went away for the weekend. I could still use the pool, though😀 As its only 20 km to Port Macquarie there are lots of things to do, cafes, restaurants etc. But my little dog and I spent most of our time doing the coastal walk, enjoying the dog beaches and exploring the surrounds ofthe house. Only regret: I didnt bring binoculars!! There are so many different birds to see!
