"Staff were helpful and friendly. Price was excellent but there were definitely trade offs. We stayed over the Victoria Day weekend so it was expectedly busier than usual. The type of room that I reserved was unavailable at check in. The manager was efficient and understanding so he set us up with 2 rooms as an alternative. This worked for our family but could have been an issue for others who were unable to separate. The breakfast buffet was so steadily busy and crowded both days of our stay that it was near impossible to get food or a table. Staff worked hard to make amends but the guests just outnumbered them. Therr is no elevator in this property even though it is 2 floors - stairs are the only option to get luggage and yourselves up if you’re given a second floor room (or two, as we were). I’m not sure if this was listed in the fine print and luckily it wasn’t an issue for us but I imagine it would be for others. I would not stay here again but will say the staff and room rates were excellent. The hotel is older and rooms have dated decor. Our sofa bed looked rough and should be replaced. So should the office chair in the room as it had no padding when you sat down (it was like sitting in a piece of plywood). Water pressure was poor but there was ample hot water. On the second day when our room was cleaned our towels were taken and weren’t adequately replaced. Toiletries were minimal."
